There is an unexplainable feeling when you're able to hunt and plant your own food. It brings a sigh of relief knowing exactly where your food is coming from and that you're the first person to handle your food.
Amen! I love to catch my own fish, grow my own veggies and especially my own herb. I was just working on my 3rd grow tent setup. Unfortunately it's been way too cold for a FL man living by the Chesapeake for trying to catch any dinner. But when it warms up I'll be bouncing jigs again and I'll start some more veggies in containers.
Aaron, this episode drives home all the things I love about you. Your fishing and boating skills, your realness and authenticity, your ability to make me feel like you are talking just to me, your ability to educate not just in various forms of fishing but also cooking. And most of all your ability to live in the moment and appreciate your life and all that you have! Peace brother and thanks for being someone I always root for!
can't thank you enough for the kind words! learning something new about myself everyday. All apart of the amazing journey. People like you keep me going! thank you!
Great response you said to Aaron, I could NOT have worded it near as well as you did, just wanted to say i feel the same way, and I always take away something good from his vids!!!
The smile on your face when you're holding up the snapper is just pure joy. That joy is the reason I love fishing. Love watching you having fun fishing.
I know if I woke up and looked out the door at the view you have I would have to pinch myself too. Aaron you paid your dues and done it the right way and you deserve what you have! So happy for you and always a fan!
Really liked what you had to say at the end of your vid. Being a Fla boy from Ormond bch @ 64 years old i still have the same dream you had 10 years ago. Love your outlook, love your channel Aaron!!! Dont stop doing what your doing, great inspiration bro.
Mutton's were/are always my favorite fish to target and catch. I have an 18 pounder on the wall from a drift boat in Riviera Beach back when I was in my 20's. I'm 56 now. Grew up in Lake Worth, in n Georgia since 94'.
I grew up in Tampa/ St. Pete. And did all the things, clams, oysters, mullet, blue crabs ,self designed shrimp nets, smoking fish, shrimp, clams and wrote the menu for Two restaurants in st. I don't know what point I'm trying to make but vicariously through watching your videos at least I know how things might have been for me. I thank you for your videos and input while making them. They bring me peace. Thank you!
Don't think about the past, brother, think about today and how you're going to make yourself a better person going forward. Take one step at a time and figure out where those steps will take you. The drugs will not provide you contentment, only meaningful action to fulfilling your inner goals will. And clearly, the pain killers are hampering you from achieving those goals. Kick them to the curb and get yourself better!
Aaron...we love your ramblings. It could never be "too much." I don't want to act like I think I speak for everyone of your followers, however I can confidently say that watching you live out your dream gives us happiness.
Aaron Been a follower for years. Don't worry about "preaching" about how you're living your dream. You worked hard to get where you are and that is something that is available to everyone. I'm living vicariously through you and I appreciate how hard you work, how you never take more fish than you need and how you always show how you responsibly harvest and dispatch your catch. Keep up the great work and your amazing down to earth videos! God bless you and Madeline!🙏 Stay safe and tight lines my friend!

Another great video. I wish I had known to cook the rack like that on the grill 40 years ago when catching grouper off Big Pine and No Name with my wife and father-in-law!
Thank you for showing how to utilize the whole fish. It’s amazing to see how much is wasted at the fish cleaning stations when snapper season is in, in the Gulf of Mexico.
Hey Arron - you can hear it in your voice that you are in your happy place in life. So many people focus on the negative and its nice to see that you have made your life as a positive testimony of what could happen if you try hard enough. Love your videos and they are always an inspiration...Thank You!
I love how you respect the fish..unlike many other TH-camr's who just drop fish all over the boat, don't brain them, etc. Dropping a fish on the deck is like a human running head-first into a wall.
When my dad had a place in the keys this is how we usually did it. Or chum bags in the shallows for yellowtail mangrove and lane. Those good days always made me wanna live there. Those were both bigger than the biggest mutton i’ve ever seen
The rambling is the best part. Hey Aaron, just felt like commenting that we love seeing your personality and small life lessons in your videos. I love fishing content but I keep coming back to your channel for the more personal stuff. The narrated dives were also always awesome! Keep doing you!
this is one of my favorite videos you’ve made aaron. just over all good feels and pleasant, with content, words, just you and what you bring. you’re doing more than youtube videos for some of us, at least me. you and i both strive for very similar lives and im more than thankful that you’re sharing your side of it. much love.
Enjoyed another video, Aaron! Hope you’re feeling better and you and Madeleine enjoyed Valentine’s Day. ❤Fish looked delicious! I’m sure Tipsy got her share, too😋🐶
Next time try cooking one on the half shell(skin and scale on) only season one side and you don't flip it. Over a open wood fire. It's take a little while to cook but you won't be disappointed. Salt paper garlic paprika, a little olive or or avocado seed oil as a binder for the seasoning.
Aaron you never fail to impress me with your harvests. I can only be happy for you on your hard earned accomplishments. A lot of us are living that good life too. Y try to keep that mindset in me and my circle.
Your spot on, living the dream, I had a boat in slip and fished commercial salmon 25 years, and every fish I caught I would about cry with excitement, nothing better.
Beast mutt!🎉 Would love to see you do a series on fishing boat etiquette. I'm sure you get the googins and would love to know how captains deal with fishermen who think the only fish in the ocean are right next to your boat. I was 40miles offshore on a large wreck and I had a boat anchor 40' off my stern in my chum slick right after I caught a big AP. Keep up the content, it's been a rough winter to get out
Haha indeed! Ya got it figured out. Living in one of the most expensive, beautiful places in the world, beautiful wife that can get you a deal on a house and a roommate who is literally a chef. But ya didnt get lucky. You went to a place you couldnt afford and worked hard at a thing that most people fail at. I mean commercial fishing or diving. That stuff is brutal. And you were smart enough to learn how to film a way of life that is interesting and present it online in a way that people were attracted to. No loser is gonna feel better about their life from hearing your story aaron. 😂 Because you worked harder than 90% of people are willing to work to get where ya are. Cheers! Great video
You are a lucky man, Aaron. Mainly because you recognize it NOW, while you are living it. Happy for you! Life changes, priorities change and you continue to evolve.
Rich isn’t always monetary and fame is relative. You are rich and famous because you are happy and healthy and doing what you love with a strong following of people who love watching you live your best life. You among a few other TH-camrs have inspired me to pursue my life long dream, at 43 years old I am finally getting my 6-pack license and will be starting my own fishing charter boat.
The reason I like to watch your show..You're literally the only fisherman I see don't waste fish..makes me feel good watching it..keep doing great contents
It’s fun watching these as it reminds me of when I lived down there about 10-12 years ago. I was in high school in KW and would go out on the water just like that every week and weekend. every now and then you pop up on my feed and it just reminds me how much fun it could be living down there.
So proud of you bro! Been watching you do this for a while now. Still my favorite! I still want to see you get your place in figi. Once you do that you accomplished everything you said you ever wanted. You are living the best of days for sure. I told you back then, I worked for Mastec doing the same and was working on mine aswell. My remodeling business is working great! Your words of wisdom are the truth! Keep at it brother(s) and we will be there!!
Proud of your success, coming from Brevard county as Cocoa Beach locals love to see that, one little tip in the kitchen, and I love your overall approach to catching cleaning cooking using plastic spatulas and cutting boards, someone pointed out to me that they melt a little bit and get into your food and when you scoop it out of a pan and put it on a plastic cutting board, it melts that a little bit and gets your food, and you are like me, you love, sharp knives, and when you mince and sharp things on a plastic cutting board that’s even worse your chopping up small little pieces and it’s going directly into your food, just a tip but once you hear it, you can’t get it out of your head I thought I’d share keep up the good work!!
I prefer wooden cutting boards, end grain preferred. I only have one plastic board that I use to cut up garlic and chillis. I have noticed no damage to my silicon spatulas.
So awesome to see you living the dream and realizing that you are. Been watching you for years and love that you’re using your reach to inspire some and preach a little. Being able to walk out the back door and come home with dinner is an awesome feeling. Thanks for the great content and more importantly thanks for being so real.
Back home we normally only filet fish if it's too big to cook whole. We then cook everything the fillets and the bones cause just like you showed there is still allot you can get from the bones.
Its so great that you really appreciate what you have created for yourself. You knew what you wanted and became an overnight success after 10+ years of hard work. Congratulations! keep on keeping on. love what you share.
I never comment because I often believe that everything that needs to be said has already been said by others. I feel compelled and I want to thank you for inspiring me with some much needed hope. I moved to Costa Rica recently and I have sooo much to be thankful for. But despite that things have been tough and it has been hard to gain traction. I am trying to live that life I have always dreamed of as well. And I will continue to fight for it. Thank you.
🇯🇲love watching your channel keep up the good work...NICE catch,it's really really rough right now so no fishing for me until it dies down...one love🇯🇲
Thank you for sharing, Aaron, what a beautiful paradise it is. My wife and I will coming down at the end of May and we cannot wait! PS: TH-cam’s algorithm is now suggesting your wife’s real estate videos to me which is too cool, might just have to move to paradise!
Good stuff… coincidentally we have the same story, moved to the keys 8 years ago with 2,000 dollars, I now own a home in Islamorada, my contender is almost finished and I’m making killer money. So to back up your sentiment, if you have a dream…. Chase it 💪🏼
I just recently found your channel. As a lifetime angler and water nut, I salute and envy you. You really do seem to be a very happy man. I'll be down to my personal heaven on Conch Key in November of this year...I can't wait. Thanks for sharing your world with us.
The good stuff...when you realize how blessed you our. In our world, it's the next thing, then the next. Never being satisfied. I believe my friend you figured out happiness isn't ever going to be something you can buy...it's the experiences you remember and the people you're with, or share them with.
aaron, that truly is a labor of love, catching, cooking, then grilling the rack and getting the primo meat that perhaps is going into a pristine fish cake or fish dip. i gladly volunteer to help you consume it if you ever need help. but i am sure tipsy would volunteer also. those are some great fish to cook up...
You did have a great day fishing! The fish are beautiful! I personally like it when you ramble! LOL! It is refreshing to watch you appreciate your life and that you are happy! ❤
For a grill just get a heavy duty park style grill. They last forever and the charcoal makes things so much better. Got one for my dad and he’s never used a regular gas grill since then

Can you pls explain the no current because visually it looks like there's current
wind pushing the waves makes it look like there is a current. @@MrBossmann23

That digging them up l love it. Your going to be rocking a while when you get home. Tight lines.
Thanks for the great
content and more importantly thanks for being so real.
You know your tuned into a good channel, when you can watch the views and likes, steadily go up. Appreciate the content Aaron.
Back home we normally only filet fish if it's too big to cook whole. We then cook everything the fillets and the bones cause just like you showed there is still allot you can get from the bones.
Those were some real sea monsters, awesome catch and video
Great video!!! Those were some nice ones for sure!! Keep living the dream!!! Tight Lines!!!
Its so great that you really appreciate what you have created for yourself. You knew what you wanted and became an overnight success after 10+ years of hard work. Congratulations! keep on keeping on. love what you share.
Happy for you
And your wife bro God bless
thanks so much!
Thank you.
Time makes a humble man. Keep on keepin on!
Hell yeah dude! You are an inspiration for millions! You set a goal and you achieved it.
Congrats on living your dream life Aaron. Really appreciate and enjoy your content. Keep up the great work.
You deserve your life. Thanks for letting me tag along. Awe give Tipsy more.

Thank you for sharing, Aaron, what a beautiful paradise it is. My wife and I will coming down at the end of May and we cannot wait!
PS: TH-cam’s algorithm is now suggesting your wife’s real estate videos to me which is too cool, might just have to move to paradise!
Simple things are the best . Thankful . Great catch man . Thanks for sharing.
Ramble all you want. Good for you. We all have your dreams. Thank you for sharing .
Great stuff love to see it no complaints!!it's called a grill brush
Good stuff… coincidentally we have the same story, moved to the keys 8 years ago with 2,000 dollars, I now own a home in Islamorada, my contender is almost finished and I’m making killer money. So to back up your sentiment, if you have a dream…. Chase it 💪🏼
I just recently found your channel. As a lifetime angler and water nut, I salute and envy you. You really do seem to be a very happy man.
I'll be down to my personal heaven on Conch Key in November of this year...I can't wait. Thanks for sharing your world with us.
Great video. Amazing fish. It is awesome to be able to live your bream, what a bit of hard work will get you.
The good stuff...when you realize how blessed you our. In our world, it's the next thing, then the next. Never being satisfied. I believe my friend you figured out happiness isn't ever going to be something you can buy...it's the experiences you remember and the people you're with, or share them with.
Thank you for your words of motivation! It's inspiring to watch you do you!🙏😊
aaron, that truly is a labor of love, catching, cooking, then grilling the rack and getting the primo meat that perhaps is going into a pristine fish cake or fish dip. i gladly volunteer to help you consume it if you ever need help. but i am sure tipsy would volunteer also. those are some great fish to cook up...
You did have a great day fishing! The fish are beautiful! I personally like it when you ramble! LOL! It is refreshing to watch you appreciate your life and that you are happy! ❤
For a grill just get a heavy duty park style grill. They last forever and the charcoal makes things so much better. Got one for my dad and he’s never used a regular gas grill since then
Is there anyway you can show us how to make the cuts for snapper jaws, or throats whatever you call them. So delicious! Thanks keep on doing 👍
Great job harvesting all the MEAT!
