  • With this video I'm starting a new feature where I take a past project series and make a 10-15 minute recap from the complete series. This will let new viewers as well as current subscribers see a short version of the complete project without having to watch all the segments in the series. If you want to follow along or see more detail you can find the complete project in the Playlist tab. The Recap videos will not be available until after a completed project series.

I wish we had had videos like this when I started fish carving. It would have shortened the learning process by a bunch.

You and me both! I’ve only been carving a little over 3 years and I watched every fish carving video on TH-cam! Even a lot that wasn’t fish carving. I learned a lot from them but a lot of what I do now I learned on my own, and IM STILL LEARNING! 😜
I always learn a little more with each carving. I’ve bought a couple DVD videos on carving and I learned a ton of information in several seminars I attended at the last World Taxidermy and Fish Carving Championship. And being up close and looking at other carvers work was also useful, because you can see detail you can’t see in photos online.
I’m looking forward to this year’s event this August in Iowa. I’m going to attend every carving seminar offered. I even attended a couple of taxidermy seminars that was on painting.
I also take a ton of reference photos of fish I catch which helps a lot.
I’m glad these videos are helping you. I’m also working on content trying to cover all the processes.

Thanks Dan. I’m only going to do those I’ve carved the last year and a half or so then I’ll do one after each new project is finished
