    I ordered the Mumba Switch grip in clear a week before I bought my OLED on 12/24! Now I'm waiting for an update case that can hold the system + grip in one. Thanks for the video

    Bought my first Switch yesterday for Tears of the Kingdom, and immediately got screen protector, 256GB sd card, TOTK case. Ordered a skull & co Neogrip OLED today because, yeah, Switch isn't really that ergonomic.

    When I bought my oled I got screen protector memory card and case at the same time. After 1-2 monthes I got extra joy cons with better collors and grip. For splatoon 3 I got pro controller.

    I don't own the 8bitdo pro 2 controller, but I can definitely say that the SN30 + controller is very solid. Fantastic D-pad, good face buttons, great battery life that can also be replaced with AA if you prefer, just a super solid controller. Its become one of my main Switch controllers along with the pro, a couple Hori and PowerA controllers.

    The 8bitdo Pro 2 controller is really good and way cheaper than the official pro controller. I love the new design with the coloured alphabets on the buttons, too.
    Too bad they can’t do any more faithful recreation of the official SNES controller due to copyright issues. I still have the old SF 30 Pro, though, and that controller looks great!

    Ive got that 8bitdo controller and I absolutely love it, if you play retro games its a must have. The d pad is one of the best and it also works for iOS. I also highly recommend the Satisfy grips, especially if you have larger hands.

    I purchased the OG Switch V2 simply because it's 300€ here and for some reason the OLED model is selling for 400-430€ which is absurd. One store has it for 370€ but they're out of stock etc. The price difference is just enormous and the fact that not all accessories (cases etc.) work with the OLED model was another factor for me.
    I just came to say that in my country they don't sell "Binbok" anywhere (not even online stores) but what I did was I bought the Hori Split Pad Pro which is readily available in most places. It's not as feature-packed and can only be used in handheld mode, but they were only 40€ (compared to Joycons being around 70€ here) and I like the fact that you don't need to ever charge them.
    My only gripe is that many seem to have said the Hori SPP would be very comfortable but I actually disagree. It's way more comfortable than the regular Joy-Cons for sure, but it's still rough for the hands (compared to any normal controller) and not meaty enough so in an hour or so after gaming, it will start to hurt your hands if you're like me. I've never had this problem with any other controller. The grips just don't have a thick enough natural curve to them. The sides of the grips aren't exactly "sharp" but they still dig into the palms for me. All in all, I still recommend them for sure simply because of not having to deal with drift, the price and the fact that the buttons are bigger and the thumbsticks are larger so you can move them more precisely.
    I know the Hori SPP wasn't covered in this video, but I thought that if someone else lives in a country that doesn't sell Binboks, they might appreciate this.

    • @Chertograad
      @Chertograad 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also have the 8bitdo SN30 Pro+. The Pro 2 is currently unavailable everywhere and the only place that seems to have them in stock has them priced 58€ (and the Switch Pro Controller was 64€ so I went with that one). I bought the Pro+ for 50€ like a year ago or so for PC gaming but now I'm using it with my Switch as well.
      It might come down to personal preference but I really prefer the Switch Pro Controller because of the handles/grips. The SN30 Pro+ (which is similarly shaped than the Pro 2) just feels too small for my hands that some of my fingers aren't really resting on anything. So if you have big hands or large fingers, I really recommend the SPC instead of the Pro+/Pro2.

    I ordered the neogrip the same day I ordered the OLED (yesterday). The binbok controllers are also on my list. My son already has a pro controller so I'm set there. Curious, how do you like the binboks -vs- the joycons with the neogrip? I'm headed off to watch that review now...

    • @CTAtechdesk
      @CTAtechdesk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Personally. The Neogrip with joycons. The flexibility of size and choice of putting it any other cases is what wins it for me.

    • @benjaminbjacobsen
      @benjaminbjacobsen 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CTAtechdesk awesome, thanks. I feel like I'm going to back off on any more controller options until I get it and the grip and see if I feel like I'm missing anything. The other thought I had was a hori left joycon with d-pad, but in playing with my lite for a week or so now I've found I'm rarely using the d-pad and it's almost all joystick so it's probably not the issue my brain thinks it is. Thanks for the input.

    I ordered the 8bitdo adapter in hopes that my ps4 controller will be viable to use with my new oled. If not I'm going to have to buy a controller which I really dont want to do at the moment after dishing out so much for the console, the 256gb memory card, the grips, the hard shell case, the screen protector, and the adapter itself lol.. Oh had to get a game too of course. XD

    • @criptin4075
      @criptin4075 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cdegenova1761 It does work however you need to update the firmware on the 8bitdo adapter using a pc's usb port and with the software from the website. It can be a bit temperamental at times when it comes to pairing the controller with the switch but if it gives you issues then go into system settings and disconnect all the controllers then try re-pairing them. I prefer my knockoff switch pro controller but I use the ps4 one as a backup over using the joycon controller. Hope this helps. Cheers.

    • @CTAtechdesk
      @CTAtechdesk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With the larger grips? You need the max carry for a decent fit. Haven’t tested any others.
