Life is a journey of chivalric adventure, so why don’t you embrace yours, ruler? Create your very own epic story with the major expansion, Crusader Kings III: Tours & Tournaments. Be awed by the sights and events that await you, from bold, mock combat in the jousting area to adventuring perilous wilds with your royal entourage.
Let wanderlust overtake your ruler’s desires during a monumental Tour, and seek out your subjects in a realm that can be both dangerous and richly entertaining. Prove yourself in one of the many forms of gallant Tournaments, either abroad or at home, or use the festivities to murder a quarrelsome rival. Be the host of new Grand Activities, be it grand weddings or stirring falconry hunts. But beware! Many celebrations are the perfect cover for the dastardly scheme against foes… or family.

Aragorn drowning in a river is really depressing. A similar fate to Isildur.
Future idea: Play Saruman but go against Sauron. I tried it myself and it was interesting to say the least. I invited Gandalf to my court and he became my heir since we were both part of the Istari, and then I accidentally died at sea, so I got to play Gandalf. Maybe you should give it a try
Evil saruman has a lot of content!
Especially when going against sauron. Ya gotta try and get your income up as hogh as possible tho
“Accidentally” 😅
@@Lord_Raymund ngl I picked the most dangerous options so maybe I had it coming
I don't think Gandalf would take over a bunch of orcs to fight sauron 😨
Éomer going insane from the Palantír in Isengard, and going on imperial conquest in a vain attempt to live up to his fathers legacy is perfect tragedy.
Could work as backstory for a setting.
I was playing as the Ar-Adunaim last night, looked up and saw Rohan absolutely wiping the floor with Saruman with no outside help. Also Boromir became Steward and Faramir died fighting in Ithilien. I guess Denethor got his wish in my timeline
Huh? The Rome 2 version of the mod has the DaC factions?
@@egoalter1276 Rome 2? This is crusader kings
@@Halloyaw11And I am an idiot. But my point stands, they seem to have taken a lot from Divide and Conquer
@@egoalter1276 I believe the two mods share some devs and they have permission to utilize certain lore aspects.
One of the funniest things in the mod is that most technologies are unchanged, so after a while we get Cannons in Middle Earth and every time I picture a Renaissance battle between LoTR factions in my mind I can’t help but laugh hysterically. Imagine hobbits with Pikes and arqubuses, shooting Orcs with cannons and charging on ponies xD
There is a mod for eu4 called Anbennar and it is basically that
Basically turns to warhammer fantasy.
I mean, isengard already used gunpowder mines at Helms deep. I imagine if the war of the ring were to last a few more years, guns would have started proliferating.
About 6:35 Lots of the mod's aesthetic is inspired by the "Age of the Ring" mod for Battle for Middle Earth 2, imho another absolute must-try mod (and game) for Lotr fans
If you want a challenging fun campaign I'd recommend Wulfgar of Dunlandfells! The dunlendings tqo big special decisions to kick the Straw-heads out of Rohan and reclaim their rightful turf by forming a high kingdom!
Its pretty hard since you have to go up against Saruman (though you do also have the chance to join him, though this makes you pretty much unable to act against him.)
I think the best shot id to ally rohan and feign loyalty to them early on, then bum-rush isengard and try to build your kingdom from there. (Then betray rohan!)
When the Shire gets relased you should play as frodo(if he will be a playaple character)
He didn't rule anything so I don't think he'd be playable, unless he has like his home in Bag End that he inherits from Bilbo
I have a Mad idea for a run.
Step 1 and 2: Play as a Uruk, Divert Culture and Reform Faith to no longer be evil (You don't have to be good, just not evil.).
Step 3: Get Strong enough to break free from Sauron/Saruman/Whoever and then do so.
Step 4: Invade a Faction who isn't evil, Culture Merge with them to create a bizarre Uruk/Free People of Middle Earth Culture.
Step 5: Do whatever you think might be fun.
They really put that extra love into designing the Courtroom of Rohan
I guess Eowyn is as good at poetry as she is at cooking :D
Poor Faramir
God, this mod is so cool! I can't get it to run properly on my PC, but I enjoy every game you play with it, especially if Rohan is involved. Forth Eorlingas!
Next time play as Bellakar or the Golden King of Abrakhan, Far Harad has lots of flavor.
Played as the golden king last night, it's a very fun start
More Realms please
Stunning looking mod, even the soldiers look so good
Please do more Princes of Darkness - there are plenty of monsters to be slain
He should play as Horus the Mummy, fun start
Amazing content, thanks for your video! =D
Very nice! Thanks for another CK3 Lord of the Rings video!
Thank you OPB!
Saruman is underpowered in this mod, in most of my playthroughs he is defeated very early. They should buff him a bit. When you start as Saruman, you have a single county and minuscule army, so it's even harder that way.
Thing is, thats exactly how it was in the lore - beating rohan is pretty possible with your huge income you get after industrializing, but beating sauron should be super hard near impossible.
Its made pretty clear in the books saruman doesnt really stand any chance against sauron, sauron just used him to weaken gondors allies.
Thats why we made him kind of a glass canon - big event troops, little long term sustainability
@@juke9674 Hey idk if you’ll answer this but do you know if there are any unique Brent’s for Isengard that buff them in some way? Like can Saruman get the ring and does that buff Isengard (in the books it’s believed Saruman among with a few others like Galadriel is believed to be able to master the rings power and use it against Saruman even if they’ll slowly be corrupted by it) I hope it does as that would make playing into the late game against Sauron fun.
@@melkor3496 we dont have the ring yet no, Im not sure what you mean by "Brent"
I thinl generally you juat need to be really good at managing the economy. One way to get cash is to fabricate hooks and then demand payment from nearby kings and emperors. Also the stewardship perk that reduces MAA cost by 50% as long as you have max dread is great too
Its also worth grabbing some land in dunland early on just for the second duchy building, later on you're gonna wanna take minas tirith tho
Favorite mod.
I'm wondering, is the Steward of Gondor implemented as a diarchy?
You should try playing as the witch king or the mouth of sauron next. Or you could play as radagast if it's possible
So far I have one gripe with this mod - inaccurase in troop counts. I know it's kinda hard to balance it, but in Middle Earth lore, in War of the Ring only Suron and Saruman managed to gather 10k troops and Rohan could master 6k troops to help Gondor. And I belive that ROhan could master only couple of hundread peasants for Helm's Deep defense (in the movies though, they also had around 100-200 elves from Lothlorien)
So I hope devs would adjust the balance of troop numbers.
"Where was Gondor when the Westmark fell?"
Glory to Théoden King!
OMG! The detail in this is great! I love the Rohirrim!
you should try playing ck3 POTS mod
🤘🤘
👍👍
i want to see gondor owo
it's funny seeing the fall of Gondor while being a spectator from outside, in Rohan
"Not my beer!"
comment for the al.
