I think that the first villa shown is a Sunset Ocean View Pool Villa Suite. I think it was Villa 52. I had been at the Villa 51. Amazing videos as always. The best luxury resort of the world.

Hi there my friend. Did you ever go to Operyland Hotel here in Tennessee? And stayed a few days and noghts there as well? That would be awesome if you ever wanted to vacation in Nashville Tennessee. I haven't seen one a video tour of the beautiful place on your TH-cam channel yet.

The pool looked green. Was that the case or optical illusion?
Alway used blue tiles for the swimming pool, it just looks better. Yellow or brown is a no no, makes the pool looks unattractive and not so clean.

Having seen this and the Soneva Maldives videos you made, I have noticed, that whilst the resorts are incredibly luxurious, and the Suites large, the beds seem small in comparison. Surely the bed is one of the most important factors in a hotel room. Also, the resorts you visit, whilst perfectly serene and peaceful, seem to be deserted, which ruins the ambience. Maybe you get up and film at the crack of dawn?

Thanks for your coverage of this resort. Whilst the internals of the resort look quiet luxurious and inviting however the extensive external timber work and lawns appear to be somewhat neglected .
For the most part the resort looked deserted and while that may appeal to some its not a good look to others. There was no mention of massages or beauty treatments etc etc.
Overall, The review did not invite me to come and visit i'm afraid as it lacks that fun atmosphere that young and old seek out for a holiday to reinvigorate their lives.
It looks like it was designed specifically to develop mosquito infestations.
Watching this from 2018 looking back on 2015, perhaps a revisit is needed because it’s not convincing

One thing that stands out for me is the complete lack of wildlife. I don't even think I saw a single bird in any of the video. Very strange.

compared to Soneva Fushi in Maldives, this one is nothing to shout about..
I have staid at both resorts. Soneva Kiri is at least as good as Soneva Fushi :)
Today the Travel Channel in their series called "Island Secrets" they showed Soneva Kiri .. as i said Soneva Kiri is nothing great. Their seaside villas are sad, the beach front for the beach villa is like a swamp area, the resort beach are not so beautiful hence it was shown only a couple of second. the longest coverage are on the tree house for the children, the chocolate spread, the 9 course meal restaurant which has to be reached by boat, and the in house ice cream menu served in their restaurant and the extra coverage was on the meal on tree house.. as i said, nothing to shout about and certainly NOT WITH THE AMOUNT OF MONEY to pay for these things..

Groyd There is no hot tub. All villas are surrounded by massive, private pools (some of them in the jungle, some of them ocean front)
The rooms (suites) may be big, but it all seems a bit claustrophobic - until you get on to the beach.
Are there any snakes?
If i were looking for a resort to spend 2 wks at I would not even consider this place the restaurant having back to back seating very cheap construction or the buildings not the level of luxury.

Poor video, bombastic title. I was here with family, one of the biggest disappointment ever. Flies, mosquitos, lousy furniture, hardly any decent view. The only thing worth mentioning is tree-top dining. Price? US$2,000 per night for 3 of us....what a rip off.
If you have been at the Agean or Mediterranean hotels of Turkish Republic, you would have change your mind....

Very nice but it seems like you're only doing sightseeing, no feelings like you're a tourist swimming in the pool or beach, what you're eating, staff doing entertainment at night, etc. Aren't you bored? Do you travel alone? Don't you have a wife or girlfriend? Thanks for sharing your luxurious travel videos. But still I find happiness in meeting other people though.

This is no way anywhere near the best on the world resort. It actually looked pretty crap to me to be honest. And totally isolated. What a load of shit.
Having been to many ultraluxe hotels around the world, I can assure you that it ranks among the very finest. Of course, taste may differ from one person to another.
May be it's not the best hotel in the world, but absolutely exact - one of the most memorable.

As many other commenters, I too have to say that this doesn't look very attractive to me. It looks like a movie set from "Apocalypse Now", "The Island of Dr. Moreau" or some other "Jungle Hell" movie. I feel like I'm getting Malaria just from watching the video, hehe, or like I have to watch out for head hunters or "The Predator". The fact that the pools look dirty doesn't help either. Not even the beach looks good.
Honestly, nothing about this says "luxury" to me.
It looks like someone just nailed some driftwood together in a swampy lagoon and is now charging a lot of money from guests who don't dare say that the Emperor has no clothes on.

The Luxury Travel Expert......I don't mean to be rude, but if you name your channel 'The Luxury Travel Expert.', you need to raise your bar, because this resort is far from luxurious. Compare it to Bali's top resorts like The Bulgari, The Viceroy or Four Seasons, this Soneva Kiri place is a dump! In fact its down right creepy!
