    Thank you so much! The video was very very informative. I am a new sheep owner and this was a big help to me towards understanding what to do with my sheep wool and how to care for it. Thank you again!

    Hi, thank you for the video. I’m a new spinner and I recently received 17 alpaca fleece for free! They are all mixed in the bag so this video really helps me sort out the fibre!

    THANK YOU for this video, I am going to be getting 6 fleeces to spin up, I have never done this before! I will be spinning and dyeing them up and usually, they come to me clean, but not this time. What kind of bags are you using and where do you get them at?

    Do you haveany suggestions for dealing with static electricity while skirting? Thank you for a very informative video!

    Do you throw away those short skirted pieces? If yes, why? I figured they could be spun even with shorter staple.

    Appreciate of the very informative video. Regarding voice sound & the room echo makes it hard to hear clearly.

    Why don't you wash the animal before sheering?

    • @SusanShriverHowell
      @SusanShriverHowell 9 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      +James Kennedy- It is much easier to wash the wool after it is sheared. Wet wool can felt too easily to wash the wool and then wait for it to dry, then sheer. I cannot imagine trying to get them to sit still for a shower ;)

      @@SusanShriverHowell alpaca isnt as easy to felt because the quechua basically scrub the wool before spinning.

    good video but the sound wasn't the best- too much wind outside and echo inside. I didn't want to miss a word! Thank you.

      I'm just curious why you would say that? You don't kill the animal and you can't leave the fleece on the animal year round because they would be too hot. So, they are actually helping the animals.
