Thank you for taking the time to make this video! I was very intimidated by the washing process. This seems very manageable. I am coming to your retreat next April and I am so excited!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge.❤
This is awesome; thank you for comparing the different fibers. TOTALLY jealous of your multi-sink operation. I've got a single kitchen sink and one utility sink in the basement. Hadn't heard about eccoscour; bought a bottle to check it out.
Love your video , hands down the best!! Very informative!!! I love how you showed & described all of the fleeces and walked through the process!!! You are a powerhouse!! Would LOVE to visit one day!!! Thanks for the inspiration!!!!
Could you take the fleece apart into doable sizes to card out vm and bm first? Then wash those fibers? How can you separate lanolin from wool, easily, in order to keep lanolin? Thank you so much!!
thanks for all the great info. is there an overview of different sheep, their wool, and which can be used for what? I am kind of overwhelmed by all the different sheep put there and look for a start....
Greetings!!! Thats a great question! It is overwhelming. As per where to start depends on what you want to do with the wool in the end? Are you a felter, weaver, knitter etc etc. This Saturday on this weeks Ewetube (209), we do a quick tutorial on how to tell the difference in fleeces just by looking at them in the grease…😊
Good morning Laura! Yes you can. You will have a lot more rinsing and will need to scour a few times. It should do an ok job for you. Use very hot water. You may need to boil water to get it hot enough.
No do not put in dryer. Lay out flat to dry, can put a fan blowing on it to dry it quicker. You can also spin out the excess water in the washer prior to laying out to dry. ☺️
@@EweTube Thank you! I’m new to this. I crochet and felt and several days ago I was gifted and entire sheep’s fleece! I’ve already done a section of it and was intrigued by the bag idea and washing machine to ring it out. Thank you again!!!

I'm a beginner weaver, and accidently happened upon you. What wonderfully helpful information!! Thank you!
Okay, I just have to say that you have the coolest channel name ever!
I'm only two minutes in and I can't stop giggling at the parrot in the background! 😅
Excellent, thorough, and useful tutorial even for folks with a Rubbermaid bin. Thanks so much!
This was the best! As soon as i saw you I knew that I would be learning a lot from someone who really knows what she is doing :) Thank you.

The parrot has lots to say about her wool! LOL Great video! Thanks for Sharing Chris and Teresa. Loved it
The parrot is hilarious. Rinse, rinse, rinse, "Waahoo," rinse, rinse, rinse, "Waahoo!" We all need a cheerleader like that.
Thank you, really informative and PRACTICAL!!
I’d definitely like to see how you’skirt’ the wool. Thank you x
You helped me a lot. Thank you. I'm from another country so I can't visit your resort, but if I could - I would.
You look so happy with what you're doing..I envy you! I'd love to visit your farm!
Thank you very much for this very detailed and in depth video!
Thanks so much for sharing all the info. So fun to see a cute sheperdess in her element.
I just found your channel. I am really enjoying it. So much information.

Where did you get the large potato masher, it's great.
Can you spin dry in a front loader washing machine or just top loader?
Do you have a water softener? If not, what type of water do you have? I have a lot of iron in my water and have a hard time getting fleeces clean.
What size laundry bag ?
This was a great tutorial!
Couldn’t get the name of the scouring soap. I live in UK. Can you tell me what it is you use? Thanks. Great video, so relaxed.
Ecoscour
Très intéressant et très sympathique 😊
Such a neat process!
Great video!! What are your levers at the bottom of you sinks?
They open and close the drains. So I don’t have to reach into the hot water . Thanks so much!! Blessings!!!
@@EweTube Thank you! That is a great idea.
Very interesting ❤
Can I use Dawn dish liquid instead of the Eccoscour? I live in Ecuador and don't think I can find that here.

Will you have EccoScour for sale at the Open House?
Yes
Can you still purchase Eccoscour as I read they had closed down permanently?
Yes you can. Organic Dyes bought them out years ago.
So you can put it in the dryer? How long? What temp? Thank you.
