My next door neighbor, dear friend and eldeely gentleman, gave me a copy of the book one Christmas. I never dared to read it because I was so young I thought I would be pulled into the story like Bastian and eaten by the Gmork. Still have never read more than George Ford's personal message on the inside cover. I miss you, old man. Rest in God.

The kid playing Atreyu had such good moments. This scene, Artax in the swamp, his interraction with Morla, and his battle with Gmork, all incredible scenes that still get me.
