For work I wear a mask everyday and I like to wear makeup so here is what works for me. Keep in mind that I will wear the mask all day so nobody sees what’s underneath it. I’ll apply eye makeup, brows and under eye concealer. Once you put the mask on you look put together but you don’t have to worry about getting makeup on the inside of your mask. Hope this helps :)
I recently went back to my office job and we have to wear masks when we're not at our desks. But we still have zoom meetings without masks, so I still like to wear my normal makeup routine. I just swapped out liquid foundation for powder and use transfer-resistant lip products The mask doesn't disturb anything too much. Hope this helps someone too!
I'm super lucky that I don't have to wear a mask all day long as I work from home. I have been swapping out different products to see what works under a mask. The only thing that I have found that works is the Wet n Wild Photofocus Natural Finish Setting Spray. It doesn't matter which foundation I use, everything stays in place. The setting spray also feels very light and natural on the skin. Definitely a new favourite for me. 💕
Good point! I go back Monday and will be wearing a mask all day, even at my own cubicle. I hate when the make up transfers. I'll have to try just concealer and eye make up.
Same here and I’m dreading having to do my full face again! I already hate the feeling of foundation so there’s no way I’m wearing it under a mask. I don’t break out but I’m sure that’s a good way of ensuring I start to is wearing makeup under the mask 😷

The Australian Gold tinted sunscreen is so underrated and I’m glad you mentioned it! It feels so lovely on the skin and the price is right!
Angie it’s definitely matte so if you have super dry skin it might be too much. It’s also super waterproof and stays on alll day. But it has a decent coverage where I don’t need foundation! ☺️
Yes! Love the Australia Gold. Angie from "Hot & Flashy" here on YT got me started on that one & I think it's the best sunscreen I've tried. A lot of times in the summer I just use it instead of a foundation. I live in the the southern US in Georgia, & it gets too hot & humid around here to wear a heavy foundation! I also use their regular one that's not tinted for my body sunscreen, but I have fairly light skin.

i recently tried glossier for the first time and they're perfect for the warm weather! I've been using an spf moisturizer, glossier futuredew, fit me concealer, glossier cloud paint (on cheeks+eyes), essence lash princess mascara, and then usually a burts bees lip balm or the blistex one with spf 15 in it to add a little color + glossier clear gloss! super simple, fresh and pretty :)

For masks, I say go for a bold eye and suttle face. A tinted moisturizer instead of foundation. And chapstick to keep lips from drying out....super pretty makeup

I've been wearing the Revlon berry balms this summer. The tint is beautiful and they have SPF 20! They feel awesome too!

Good luck on getting your license!! My ID photo was awful 😂 I didn’t wear makeup and I had just got off work at the time and I had my hair up and I had paint in my hair and dirt on me and all. (I worked with a construction company during the week in early highschool, and For an antique sales person on the weekends)

Can I just say how I just absolutely love that you show us similar products for every drugstore/luxury item you use? For work, we wear masks all day at our desks but have zoom meetings where we are unmasked, and I work upwards of 10 hour days. I've tried so many different things to prevent transfer and the makeup breaking down on my cheeks and nose from the humidity in the mask and I think I've finally found a base routine that works for me. Keep in mind that my skin is acne-prone, textured and oily/combination, so different products might work better for some people than others.
1. After skin prep, mix primer with setting spray. For primer I use the Revlon Photoready and the setting spray is the Wet n Wild Photofocus. I really press this into my skin on my nose, areas where my mask rubs, and around my mouth where the makeup breaks down from humidity. I let this set before I go in with with any additional makeup.
2) Instead of going right into foundation, I use a damp sponge to apply concealer in my skin tone to the bridge of my nose and along the area where my mask rubs on my cheeks. I use the Physician's Formula Conceal RX concealer.
3) I set only that area that I've used concealer on with a damp beauty blender and the Airspun loose face powder. This powder has a bit of a tint to it, which I like, because I then don't have to go in with as much foundation in this area.
4) I am a *chronic* foundation mixer, but if that isn't your thing, just using the L'oreal Infallible foundation works as well. I prefer less of a matte finish during the summer, which the primer and setting spray give to the foundation, and so I'll mix in the L'oreal True Match Lumi foundation. Using the same damp sponge, I'll press a *very light* layer over my entire face. Both of these foundations build beautifully, so I have no problem with a light layer first. When I say press in, I really mean press the product into the skin and pores, especially along my cheeks and forehead. I'll blend a minimum of 4-5 minutes.
5) Let foundation settle into the skin, repeat as necessary to build coverage. I usually only need to do two layers to even out the skin tone. Once coverage has been built, I'll take a paper towel and very lightly press into my skin to remove any excess product that is just sitting on top of the skin and hasn't warmed with the rest.
6) Personally, at this point I don't like to go in with any other concealer everyday since I have fine lines beneath my eyes and don't feel additional brightness is necessary on the high points of the face. If I do, though, I'll use a shade slightly lighter than my skin tone in the inner corner, outer corner, and middle of my forehead. Since I have other product on the skin on my nose and cheekbones where the mask rubs, I don't want to put an extra layer here.
7) I'll have to re-wet my sponge at this point, and then load that bad boy up with the Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder. I don't bake, but press that same powder all over my skin, sometimes pressing a little more onto my nose, cheekbones, around my nose, and mouth. Let this sit for about a minute.
8) I really haven't found any bronzer/blush/highlight that doesn't work with the rest of this, except to say that I have only been using powder products after setting with powder, so I can't speak to cream products.
9) Once all is said and done (I'll do my eyes and eyebrows the same as pre-pandemic, since I don't have to worry about the mask here) I'll go back in and set my entire face once more with the Wet N Wild Photofocus setting spray.
All in all, it takes about 20 minutes to do my full face after getting a routine down, and it's nice not to worry about transfer or mask lines on my face when I have to take it off and put it back on at work. Hopefully this (or some of this) could help someone else as well!
I have to wear a mask every day and I've found that the Wet N Wild original foundation set with the Coty Airspun powder wears super well!!

Oily girl living in Florida and I've been wearing that Australian Gold face sunscreen as my every day base! I definitely have to set it with powder and touch up a couple of times throughout the day, but I've loved the way my skin has been looking with it on. A little concealer on my inner corner/under eyes and I'm done!

Pretty summer look 🌞. When I do wear makeup nowadays in the summer lol I tend to gravitate to a tinted sunscreen and if I want a bit more lighter coverage I'll put NYX bare with me on top or Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue...to name a couple. Also the Dr. Jart cicapar corrector & spf evens out the skintone nicely. A powder to lock in place & give the skin a nice finish. Then I'll use whatever bronzer & blush for my eyes and juicy lip. Loreal telescopic / lash paradise mascara. Oh plus an eyebrow "mascara" to hold them in place. Thats it. Good setting spray is key for me...UD all nighter or Morphe continuous setting mist 👍😉🌺

Who else forgets they have to wear a mask and puts lip gloss on... for nothing 🤣 then the gloss ends up all smudged on the inside of the mask.

It's so interesting to see the different ways people do their summer makeup base. Some prefer all powders, some fo like you did a mix and some do all creams. I was watching Julia Adams MUA and I feel like she made so much sense when she chose to only do creams/liquids because if it were to smudge or whatever you can blend it out with your fingers or a sponge and it will make everything look great again. Because I don't wear foundation or anything like that I do love cream products and doing cream blush and bronzer looks so much better on me because I don't wear foundation. The Fenty cream bronzer has been perfect for no foundation skin and I love a few different cream blushes! Milk makeup blush stick in Werk from my Sephora b-day gift has been so pretty and nice! Flower Beauty pinched liquid blush, Ulta brand has a beautiful pink liquid blush, and Nars liquid blush in Dolce Vita. Those have been my recent blushes I've been enjoying! I love balmy highlights like the flower beauty one and the Ciate one! Cream eyeshadow is so simple and pretty too, and Charlotte Tilbury eyes to mesmerize are just TOO good! I just wish they were cheaper! I only have 1 right now in Marie Antoinette. I am buying 1 more color soon though! I feel like Marie Antoinette looks more fall and winter appropriate because it's a cool toned bronze so I want a nice summer shade! I love my Loreal tubing mascara since I hate waterproof mascara and then lips have been kind of hard with the whole mask thing but I pulled out my grapefruit glowy lip balm from Laneige again and fell back in love with it! I feel like those have been the best summer makeup products!

I'm always so happy when Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday come around. Your videos make my day. It's always fun with makeup with the drama. And so many excellent tips and tricks. I'm pretty proficient with makeup, but I still learn a lot from you. Especially since I too have sensitive oily skin. After I started using curology my skin cleared up of acne though.

The Manny Mua X Morphe Glam pallet is amazing!! The shadows are great for everyday and you can build up for glam! And I use the highlighters in it on the daily!

Tips for makeup in masks: wear very little foundation etc because you WILL breakout around the mask area. I wear a tinted moisturizer and some setting powder. Then I focus more on my eyes where the mask won’t touch :)

I've been loving the Covergirl Clean Fresh foundation, it's super lightweight, dewy, and I can apply it with my fingers and it looks wonderful!

I love that Rimmel stay matte powder. Using probably years. But recently I discovered that it isn't that matte. The powder has slightest shimmer, and I love how it doesn't make face look flat.

I‘ve been doing my eye makeup and brows only and a tinted sunscreen and small amount of concealer under my eyes and powder bronzer! I don’t do the “bottom half” of my makeup at all because I wear my mask all day for work. If I know I’ll take off my mask, I’ll add blush on my cheeks but yeah tinted sunscreen has been my new favorite thing!

If you are liking the bright pinks, I would also recommend Bobbi Browns powder blush in Pale Pink! It's fabulous alone or over Honest Beauty's Peony Pink!

I've been using either lip gloss or balm under my mask. Still doing a full face because I love makeup. The wet n wild photo focus dewy foundation is my new favorite. Still loving my Coty Airspun powder and maybelline age rewind concealer. Also loving my Jeffree Star Cremated eyeshadow palette. And my Tartist pro face palette for bronze blush and highlight.
Try Danessa Myrick!! Her complexion glow products are LIFE!!! Super dewy/ wet looks! But not greasy! And her Enlighten illustrator powders are heaven sent!

I recently purchased a bunch of cream products from Milk Makeup, so those will probably be the main items in my summer makeup bag (the weather is staying in the 100s Fahrenheit with at LEAST 60% humidity). As far as looks, I go back & forth between a bronzy goddess (lots of bronzer on the face & eyes, shimmery golds & coppers on the lid, peachy blushes, neutral colored lips). OR, I go more pink like you, Allie, for a sweet yet sexy mermaid look (more cool toned browns, rose gold shimmer on the lids, pink toned highlighter, naturally flushed looking cheeks, and thick lashes). They are definitely my 2 favorite summer looks! 👸🏻🧜🏻🏖️👌🏼

I’m a nurse so I’m wearing a mask for 12+ hours a day. I know this is super expensive but the foundation I wear is the Tom Ford Traceless foundation stick. It’s the only foundation I own that doesn’t transfer at all. A less expensive option is Estée Lauder double wear. It transfers a little but not bad. I haven’t noticed setting my foundation making the transfer less or extending the wear of those two foundations so either way they both work great. I don’t have oily skin so for anyone that’s oily I would for sure set the foundation.

I wear a mask all day and worked through lockdown so I’ve been wearing one for 3 months. I started out doing a full face of makeup and quickly realized it was pointless. Now I blend a little concealer under my eyes and on my forehead. Apply powder on top of concealer. Use one color of cream eyeshadow. And mascara. It’s something but doesn’t look crazy if I do take my mask off.
I bought the believe beauty cream blushes last wkend and I’m obsessed! The formula is so easy to work with! Thank you for the recommendation!!❤️
For summer I’ve been into the Honest Beauty Tinted Lip Balms, Laneige Lip Glowy Balms, Burt’s Bee’s Tinted Lip Balm in Red Dahlia, & the L’Oréal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara (& it’s not super hard to get off when using an eye-makeup remover or a cleansing balm even tho it’s waterproof)! + it doesn’t smudge or flake on me, and a lot of mascaras typically do!!
