I just made a realization today that made me tear up a little. Floor means flower. My grandmother's name is Flora which also means flower. My Grandmother played piano and sang. She was my first voice teacher. I'm now a piano teacher because of her. Floor reignited the love of music in me. Floor is so humble and that makes everything she does even more powerful. I wish I could find out if my Grandmother would lover her. RIP. I discovered her last summer and still can't get enough.
This reaction is a pleasant surprise for me. I'm glad you "dig" to find out more about Floor, she's a special person, as you could see. To bring context to this interview: it was recorded at the beginning of 2020, just before the lockdowns started. Following the TV show "Beste Zangers" 2019 from the Netherlands, where she masterfully interpreted music from other genres, Floor started to be recognized in her own country, after more then 20 years of international successful career, because in the Netherlands the Metal genre is considered underground and is not reflected by the mainstream media. As a result of this success, Floor held a series of solo concerts in the Netherlands, with the last concert being professionally recorded and broadcast for free on all streaming platforms, following the crowdfunding campaign she organized (I am proud to have participated in this campaign, together with thousands of other Nightwish fans). However, due to the lockdown that was installed almost immediately after this interview, the 10th concert took place only at the beginning of September 2021 - you can find it recorded in Floor's YT channel. For the same reasons, Floor Jansen's participation on the PinkPop festival in Holland that she talked about in the interview took place only in 2022 - on that day Floor had 2 concerts in a row, the first being her solo recital, then a few hours later, together with the band Nightwish. 🖤🤘
As I have told others, I have seen them play live more than once. One time in a small venue where I was about 10 feet from the stage. I have personally met and talked will them. They were all very patient and kind. Absolutely no egos. They let the music do the talking. A real class act.
Floor completely blew me away with her phenomenal voice and stage presence when I first discovered Nightwish. But what endeared me to her even more was when I started watching interviews and following her TH-cam channel and I found out what a humble, witty, kind, down-to-earth, and all around lovely person she is. If you are interested, I highly recommend this 15 minute interview when Floor visited her old Rock Academy and one of her teachers does a documentary on her - very emotional (it's subtitled in English): th-cam.com/video/zRqqma4kWIg/w-d-xo.html
I think my favourite of her interview videos is the one with Marko where they talk about aliens for 20 minutes! It just shows how smart they all are! Marko's view on aliens is very well considered and thought out, not just the simple "yeah, well aliens must exists cos there's shitloads of planets" response.
Hi Debbie. Floor can sing in Dutch, English, German, Spanish, Swedish, Italian, Finnish and Latin. She can sing, Heavy Metal, Rock, Symphonic metal, Death Metal (Oh those growls!!), Pop and Opera.❤❤❤
The most impressive thing about Floor at Pinkpop is she did an entire set of her own songs and then did an entire set with Nightwish! Mind you this was during a heatwave and the guitarist in Nightwish received a bad sunburn!
Thing about Floor is, she suffered "burnout" over performing live, and making and singing music in general, before she joined Nightwish in 2012. Her biggest fear? She didn't know if she could sing live on-stage for Nightwish. She was afraid she was going to screw everything up, and everything was going to fail. Yet Tuomas, Emppu (he's the blonde guy who is the guitarist), Marko (the taller bassist), and Jukka (the drummer at the time; Jukka had to step down in 2015 because his insomnia got so bad he felt that he was going to be irreparably hurt if he kept going) all supported her and gave her the confidence to get back on stage. Put it this way: When Floor first joined Nightwish in 2012, she had to learn the setlist in 48 hours! 15 songs in 2 days. I would say that not only did she succeed very wildly, but she put her own spin or take on some songs, like Storytime or Nemo. To put it mildly, she wasn't even known in the Netherlands until 2019, when she dueted with Henk Poort, singing "Phantom of the Opera" on a Dutch National TV show called "Beste Zangers" (Dutch for "Best Singers"). If you _really_ want to see how talented Floor is, watch her performances on Beste Zangers. Floor can sing whatever style of music she wants.
Look up floor jansen Dutch reunion show. She's in a class room for a short interview, then goes to tampere finland for a show. It's nightwish's home-base. They're Finnish, not floor, she's Dutch. You'll meet her parents, and see how humble this superstar is!
Her recent solo concert is available on TH-cam snd is great. It features songs from throughout her musical history. From her first band After Forever, then ReVamp and Nightwish. A side project called Northward and songs from a Dutch TV show called Beste Zangers plus covers performed at home during Covid lockdown. She is the most empathic singer that I have ever heard. The album Human II Nature is the latest by Nightwish and takes you on a journey through the history of the Earth and man's affect upon it.
A little background is needed here when Floor reffers to her Solo tour and mixing other musicstyles. In 2019 Floor went way out of her comfort zone by participating in a Dutch TV show called Beste zangers ( Best Singers). Concept is simple: put a group of singers of all kinds of genres together - from jazz to pop to opera to folk to you name it - at a resort and let them sing eachothers songs. So you get a pretty awesome potpourri of people singing in styles they are not familiar with. And here is the thing: Floor is regarded as one of the best vocalist in the world. In metal. Which a lot of members of the Nightwish Army - from the simplest of conscripts to the Hands of Odin - rightfully point out is not mainstream. Metal doesn't get a lot of airplay so not many people are familiar with the musicgenre and whenn they hear it once most will refer to it as loud, malebased, occult and all the other possible stereotypes. So here you have Floor - at that time the best selling Dutch artist whem it comes to albums - and nobody out there in her own country ever heard of here - accept for a couple of metalheads. In short: she killed it. You will find examples of her performances on youtube: just type in Floor Jansen beste zangers - and take your heart meds before clicking, please. There is a version of The Phantom of the Opera out there that will definately increase your heart rate. Speaking of the Phantom: she sings this duet with Henk Poort who played the phantom wayback when the musical was a hit. Henk however made one stipulation: he wanted to sing that duet only if she would allow him to sing it with Nightwish at the sold out Ziggodome in Amsterdam. The rona screwed up with scheduals but in November 2022 i witnessed awesomeness in Amsterdam when that stipulation was fulfilled. Anyway: Floor decided after that TVshow to take those songs, some Nightwish songs and some songs from her early days as leadsinger of After Forever to put it in a tour in the Netherlands that sold out before you could say: Are there tickets for a Floor show...? Enjoy your Floor and Nightwish journey!
Hello @TheQuestionQueens, NW Army Italian Division here. As you can see Floor is not a singer only, she is pure emotion. She is an incredible fantastic woman. A little news, during the last Pinkpop Festival she sang in two concerts in the same day, alone in the afternoon and with Nightwish in the evening. ;-)
Hello I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here. She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have a daughter. ( Freja ) Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6). Re-singing style ranges from opera to screams and grunts. She usually sings in English, in addition she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish. Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016. From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Nightwish's second studio album with Jansen as front singer, Human. :II: Nature., was released in April 2020. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Floor is our Valkyrie Queen, but she is also the Queen of Humility. It's very much that she doesn't realize how incredible she is to us, how much we love her, and as you said, no matter what level you achieve, the greatest amongst us still has doubt. She has done "Floor Friday" vlogs, where she just has fun answering questions and showing us her life on the farm with her husband, Hannes (Drummer for Sabaton - another amazing band from Sweden) and daughter, Freja. She introduces us to her animals, who are truly wonderful, but you get to see her personal side and just how incredible she is ... simply put - no ego! In your first video, notice how at the end ... the first thing she does is give credit to Jukka on drums. After "the note" she acknowledges the audience. You just will not see anybody in Nightwish thumping their chests or showing off. They are the ultimate humility personified, and that,, in my opinion, is what lifts them far above everybody else. They work harder to get it right than any band I've ever seen. You will learn this as you progress on your journey. I will be watching with great interest.
From the Human Nature album, the sequence of tracks takes you through an evolving theme. However, "Shoemaker" and "How's the Heart" are truly hallmarks even though the entire album is incredible. They encompass the points she touches on during the interview about phrase pace and style combinations making things challenging.
There have been numerous accounts by fans about how Floor has changed and even saved their life. During the lockdown, she was recording covers and putting them up on her page, her Fan Friday’s and Storytime videos were a great connection with us. The live chats, we are honored to have with her and her Husband Hannes are so wonderful. The more I learned about her, the more I knew that her vocal abilities are a distant second to her as a human being. She is so humble and humane. There was once a TH-cam page dedicated to hating Floor and it could only muster 6 followers. She is a once in a lifetime person, someone that is the ultimate definition of a good human being. She has told of her struggles, she just had breast cancer diagnosed in 2022, tumor removed in October and back on tour in November. There is a video of her first concert after the surgery and it is heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.
You can see from her interviews and from her "home life" videos on her youtube channel that she's an incredibly professional person who does a lot of very hard work on perfecting her craft, and that comes through in her live performances where it not just sounds awesome every time, but you can see that she's having great fun while she's doing it - same goes for the rest of the band. They all really look like they are on stage because they love doing what they do, and enjoy themselves every time, even if it's repeating the same songs every concert. But you can also see from her videos that she is just an incredibly down-to-earth, humble and likeable human being. Of course, we never get to see what she's like *away* from the videos, but I honestly can't imagine that everything she does on camera is an act.
And another longer Video about Floor Jansen is "The Floor Jansen Story" relating the German TV Show "Sing meinen song" in April 2022: th-cam.com/video/K7J95LkC7-c/w-d-xo.html
I concur. Its a 46 mins long answer to the question: Who is Floor Jansen ? Even if you watch it on your own....its worth the time.....and watch what her father has to say.
I also recommend the video Floor did for her own TH-cam channel in which she discussed the Wacken 2013 performance of Ghost Love Score. th-cam.com/video/QW_3F186_5Q/w-d-xo.html
When you hear Shoemaker from Nightwish it will definitely blow your mind. You may want to look up Eugene Shoemaker ahead of time. th-cam.com/video/Rjp_DfvJimg/w-d-xo.html
Further to what Floor said about being challenged by Tuomas (the keyboardist and composer of Nightwish), if you want to make a sidestep from the 'traditional' path of Nightwish songs, have a look at songs like Shoemaker or Noise from the Human :||: Nature album. There are some live recordings from 2022 available of these newer songs. Shoemaker in particular is very special. It is lovely to be part of your journey into Nightwish and Floor.
I am sure others will recommend Floor's own TH-cam channel. She did so many videos from her home in Sweden that let us peak behind the curtain to get to know her better. During the pandemic, she did a lot of covers with her husband behind the camera and they were all first rate. Floor is our Valkyrie Goddess and we hold her in the highest regard. Take care!
Oh this is so Floor .... Just a Dutch girl. She lives in Sweden with her Husband Hannes van Dahl who is the drummer of a popular Swedish Band Sabaton 🇸🇪 along with their little daughter Freja 6 years old. NIGHTWISH 🇫🇮 en SABATON 🇸🇪 are good friends together. I love Nightwish and Sabaton🤘🩵 Floor is also not afraid to make her own garden fence. She is very good with a Drill and Hammers 🔨and drive a Tractor 🚜 Floor means Flower 🌸 in the Netherlands and is a Dutch girl name. Always nice to know 🥰 And when Floor spins circles with her HAIR, we call it Windmills, funny right? Thank you this was a nice introduction dear greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱🙋🏼♀️
Love your reactions ! Her appearance on Beste Zangers is highly recommended along with a recent Nightwish song Shoemaker that I think will bring you to tears. Just don’t jump right into Poet and Pendulum... just not yet
React to this emotional Dutch documentary/class reunion with Floor, before Nightwish did the legendary show in Tampere, Finland. It has Floors parents in it. th-cam.com/video/zRqqma4kWIg/w-d-xo.html Then react to The Greatest Show on Earth, live from Tampere. A 20 minute long masterpiece about evolution.
Hi Debbie. You began your Nightwish tour with "Ghost love Score",, there is an interview with Floor on how she approached the song, because this song was originaly sung by their first singer Tarja =Operatic voice. Floor wanted to change the end of it, and Tuomas and the others fully agreed. And that is why this song has that phenominal ending. th-cam.com/video/QW_3F186_5Q/w-d-xo.html
Masterpiece. Slds
Of course now you need to react to the wonderful opening track Music from Nightwish's latest studio album Human : Nature - in order to understand what she is really talking about. Music is a wonderful but often neglected track by reactors, and it tells you the fantastic story of how humans found music in nature, but also the other way around. Here is the official lyric video for Music: th-cam.com/video/rwz7-h9LCDU/w-d-xo.html
Congratulations for finding yourself so ‘into’ Floor and Nightwish. Perhaps Floor is so loved because she is on the one hand the most talented, charismatic performer, but is also able to be ‘that nice girl next door’. Her modesty, friendliness and self effacing character could not be faked year on year.
If you want to see her stripped back, just her and a guitar player, Hows the heart, ACOUSTIC. You will understand how talented this woman really is. Also, if you enjoy her, she did a reaction to herself explaining the performance of Ghost Love Score. th-cam.com/video/QW_3F186_5Q/w-d-xo.html She is a kind soul, it's obvious.
Human Nature is Floor's 2nd album with the band, the two previous reactions are legacy songs and he made them his own. Greetings from Honduras Central America. I recommend Ever Dream for your next reaction.
Hi Debbie (again), it is lovely to see how you are investing yourself in the band, and of course with Floor herself. As you can see, she is incredibly modest and self-effacing, and I think that is why we all love her so much. If it wasn't so early in your NW journey, I would recommend that you listen to the opening track of the Human :II: Nature album 'Music' to see exactly what Floor is talking about. There is no reason why you should stick religiously to Gabriel's list, so I will leave the idea with you. The link to the official video is here: th-cam.com/video/rwz7-h9LCDU/w-d-xo.html should you be interested? (The link is safe I promise). Kindest, Kevin
I think it will be interesting for you how Floor meets Nightwish by an immediate replacement of their current singer on their North American Tour in 2012. The Video is "Read the setlist in 48 hours". Another react-video is Floor Jansen reacts to herself singing 'Ghost Love Score'. Very funny.
Sorry to hear about your health problems, you look really good 👍🏻. As a Nightwish fan I love the way you are really researching the backstory and how things evolved and are evolving.
Video suggestion: Floor in a Dutch TV show called The Reunion ( i think you call it something like homecoming in school...?) th-cam.com/video/zRqqma4kWIg/w-d-xo.html
This was a good documentary to get to know the "professional Floor". There are also excellent ways to learn about the "personal Floor". Some other commenters gave you good advice already. She is beautiful inside and out. I must say, that I don't like much of what she chose to do (I am not really into metal) but in her brand new solo career, it is for people like me a bit more familiar what she does.
This is 2020 when the latest album came out, Human Nature and then everything was cancelled, tour, concert's until 2022. If you want to hear her amazing singing skills check out Shoemaker, from that album, there are a lyric video or live from the latest tour last year.
When she talks at the beginning about bringing two worlds together. Floor was known worldwide as a metal singer, especially after joining Nightwish, however she was not well known in her home country of the Netherlands. In 2019 she was on the Dutch TV show Beste Zangers (best singers). On the show they bring together singers from different genres. Each week one of them is the focus and the others will all sing a song that is special to them, often one that the focus had written or performed. Of the six other singers only one of them knew anything about her. She gained a lot of popularity in the Netherlands from the show. So for her solo show she was trying to please both the metal heads that have known her since she started with After Forever at 16, and also the new fans who knew her for more pop/classical music. The last couple of her solo show were finishing up as Nightwish was already touring. At the Pink Pop concert they are talking about here she had her solo show in the morning and then performed with Nightwish in the evening.
Fact: our daughter was born just two days after Floor in the same hospital ( Moedervreugd in Goirle) when we lived in Tilburg. But: she can't sing, but dances very well, and is about 30 cm shorter than Floor...
Floor Jansen is very down to earth kinda woman. And she actually loves to go walk in forest. It loads her "mental" batteries netter than any state of the art studio. I recommend you check these 2 documentaries: Please learn the setlist in 48hrs, And Making of Endless Forms most beautiful. In that order. 1st one tells what happened during previous singer and how Floor came to be in NW. Second is about Floor making 1st ever full album with Nightwish.
She is a lovely person. You may also like this interview: th-cam.com/video/B3NIfu0qvtg/w-d-xo.html it's from a Dutch show were famous people are reunited with there class from highschool.
If you want to know more about the story how Floor got to be the lead singer in 2012, you should check out the documentary “please learn the setlist in 48hours” It’s in Finish but with english subtitles. She really had to learn the setlist in 48h.
Nightwish Army Buenos Aries branch reporting in! When she spoke about her "full opera" parts in the album I think that you should react to the song called Shoemaker (live at Hellfest 2022) to find out what she meant! And if you want, you can do some research about who Eugene Shoemaker was, to understand better the meaning of the song... Keep them coming! 🤘
She is the ultimate professional. Glad you are taking a interest in Floor, the person...not just Floor, the superstar. She also has a channel, Floor Jansen, Storytime. Home life in Sweden during the pandemic.
Isn't she great? Such a lovely person, humble, a bit shy, nervous, but when on stage she is the Commander of Souls! Love her giggle :) She certainly rose to the challege from Tuomas. Have you seen her fan videos, with her horses?
What a nice interview! I hadn’t seen that before. Whenever I see her of atage Inget struck by the fact that she really is a very approachable and doen to earth person. A gentle giant if you will. But on stage she is this unapproachable godess that invokes so much awe that your legs tremble. I find it fascinating that she has such a wide duality as a person. And you touched on it aswell when you where talking about how even great people feel doubt. She was actually in a real bad shape mentally before joining Nightwish. For about 18 months she was suffering from a depression and a burnout. She basically spent all her energy just by doing the most basic things. She didn’t want anything, she didn’t need anything. And she was seriously questioning her career as an artist. Then came Nightwish and they healed her and she healed them. They found each other in a time of darkness and pain and created something beautiful. I tear up when I think about it. I myself has been struggling with depression and burnouts and she is such an inspiration to me.
Floor lives deep in the woods in Sweden with her husband (drummer of Sabaton), young daughter and a variety of animals like horses, dogs and cats. It's her recharge place after touring. 😊🤘
I really really advise you to make a reaction to this video/interview with Floor from the Dutch TV channel, where she and her classmates from the Rock Academy got together again. This video is an excerpt of that program, just about Floor and this is probably the most interesting, informative and touching interview with Floor, a must-watch for all Nightwish fans. (It's in Dutch but there are English subtitles): th-cam.com/video/B3NIfu0qvtg/w-d-xo.html
@@noneofyerbeeswax8194 Yes, the video at my link is slightly out of sync, but not so much that it doesn't make it enjoyable to watch. The problem with your version is that it's not complete, it's cut off at the beginning and at the end
@@SokolRock Great request, but as said: The version you provided is out of sync. Not just a tiny bit, but quite a lot. I reckon you're not Dutch, and perhaps in some ppl that may be why they can still enjoy that horrible version. Both videos are incomplete of course, in that they're both cut from a TV show called "De Reünie". The last part in the longer version doesn't add much to Floor's story. Cheers!
All the Nightwish interviews and documentaries are excellent. Many reactors have done videos about their two excellent documentaries. Both can be found on TH-cam. Please learn the setlist in 48hrs (timeline world tour 2012, how Floor joined the band) Making of Endless Forms Most Beautiful (their next album, year 2014. If you make a reaction video, use Nimwey 🇳🇱:s video. It combines all the clips into one video and has a few extras)
Check out Floor's TH-cam channel. She has many interesting bits on it, including singing lessons, videos from her home during the pandemic, and covers of popular songs that she also did at home during the pandemic. Plus original songs from her recent solo album.

I also recommend this video from Floor’s channel: th-cam.com/video/dnFMn-P6cn4/w-d-xo.html It shows a “day in her life” at home, and is indicative of how down to earth she is.
Floor is at the same time a Valkyrie Goddess of Metal and a genuinely humble, kind person. If you want to know more about her and nature, during the pandemic she made a few videos about the area where she lives, in the middle of nature, with her family and horses. She was trying to stay in touch with fans in the middle of canceled tours and closed venues.
If you interested there is also interview with Nightwish songwriter/keyboard player "heart of the band/leader" Tuomas Holopainen by same interviewer Face Culture about same day and also band multi-intrumentalist/singer Troy. This was part of promo tour for Nightwish Human:II:Nature album 2020. But maybe best interview with Tuomas is this 1h interview "Breaking Absolutes Ep. 2 - Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish)" by Peter Orullian.
Need to watch Floor & Hank Poort singing ( Phantom Of The Opera ) Live on BesteZangers. Her voice range will BLOW you away. She also does a song on there called ( I Don't Know A Thing About Love.) On the same show BesteZangers. You will enjoy these 2 songs but her & Hank blew me away.
Much of this interview is about Floor's new solo career. Her new record "Paragon" will be out in March. She was talking about how her metal fans would react to her solo stuff which is much more soft and kind of pop oriented. metal fans can be harsh and not open to their favorite artists doing softer music. You should check out her solo singles she has already released from her upcoming record. Go to Floor's YT channel and you will find all of them.
you shuold watch the finnish documentry about nightwish called " please learn the setlist in 48 hours" which was been filmed about a tour the band was on and helf way through the second singer " annette olsen" felt the band mid tour so tuomas asked his old freind floor if she could cover the rest of the tour , and thats how she ended up joining ...well worth a watch ,its a finnish doc but its on youtube with englich subs
Hello, it is still early since you started down the Nightwish rabbit hole but I just wanted to mention that Floor also participated in the show Beste Zangers in 2019. She sang solo with the band that supported the show and it was unbelievable. Two songs in particular that you really need to hear are a cover of Lady Gaga's song "SHALLOW" and she also did "Phantom of the Opera" with Henk Poort. It's a 3 tissue box moment and the performance Here are the links and song titles: ( Floor Jansen - Shallow | Beste Zangers 2019 th-cam.com/video/M68pe4a_9zk/w-d-xo.html ) ( Floor Jansen & Henk Poort - Phantom Of The Opera | Beste Zangers 2019 th-cam.com/video/plCScjvDOJM/w-d-xo.html ). Enjoy and thank you!! Looking forward to seeing at your next reaction video. Andy in Seattle WA
Something I think should be pointed out...she's Dutch...lead singer for a Finnish band...yet singing in English, and doing this interview in English. And obviously not translating in her head, but speaking with a command of the language that understands its nuances and complexities to be able to articulate ideas and beliefs. How many of us could do the same in any other language than our own? She can, but 99% of us can't and don't try to. Food for thought.
Interresting fact about that "nature" topic, maybe: Floor just announced that for every order, placed on her own merch shop, a tree will be planted. I think that tells a lot about her.
as was said below, she published six videos during the pandemic from her home/farm .. you will see her farm, dogs, horses, cats, child (always filmed from the back), husband, her little garden, pounding fence posts with a sledgehammer .. Facebook has them listed in reverse order but .. here you go .. th-cam.com/play/PL8iSYWeQhlikYttxF9GfYc-OZnueymGYw.html
Careful now…. You keep exploring stuff like this, you’ll fall in love… like the rest of us have. 😉 Pink Pop was this past summer. She did a 60-minute solo set in the afternoon, and a 90-minute Nightwish show in the early evening. Here is another thing you can watch for more insight into Floor, from a Dutch TV documentary when she attended a reunion at her music school. Bring tissues. th-cam.com/video/zRqqma4kWIg/w-d-xo.html
That was a very good decision to watch an interview with Floor. I would like to recommend her home story called 'Storytime'. She recorded them herself and shows her everyday life during the pandemic. You will find all parts on her channel. In this way you will quickly get to know the person Floor Jansen, because she shows her as she is.Greetings,Kelsea
I concur, on her TH-cam channel, and in number 5, you will see more of her home studio, husband, plus more interviews at her home. Check out her fan Fridays, learn more as well as get a few laughs.
Floor's name is derived from the Roman Goddess of Spring, Flora 😇
Hail the Goddess 😇
🖤🤘
Thanks Gabriel, as always very informative
Floor is such a wonderful person, in addition to being this incredible vocalist and stage performer. Thank you for this nice little interlude.
If I was religious I would believe Floor Jansen is the second coming of the Christ.
As I have told others, I have seen them play live more than once. One time in a small venue where I was about 10 feet from the stage. I have personally met and talked will them. They were all very patient and kind. Absolutely no egos. They let the music do the talking. A real class act.
That’s our queen. Dutch, living in Sweden and lead singer in a finnish band… ❤ Thx for this interview together with you - it was amazing… 🏆👍
I concur. However, that video gets out of sync which is really annoying. I recommend this version: th-cam.com/video/zRqqma4kWIg/w-d-xo.html
I concur , very special and heart felt
I think my favourite of her interview videos is the one with Marko where they talk about aliens for 20 minutes! It just shows how smart they all are! Marko's view on aliens is very well considered and thought out, not just the simple "yeah, well aliens must exists cos there's shitloads of planets" response.
@@noneofyerbeeswax8194 thanks! I changed it
That's actually not Floors teacher, but the shows host, Patrick Lodiers.
Other than that, you're spot on
Hi Debbie. Floor can sing in Dutch, English, German, Spanish, Swedish, Italian, Finnish and Latin. She can sing, Heavy Metal, Rock, Symphonic metal, Death Metal (Oh those growls!!), Pop and Opera.❤❤❤
I never saw this interview thx for this one. Their are many more i have seen but this is floor
The most impressive thing about Floor at Pinkpop is she did an entire set of her own songs and then did an entire set with Nightwish! Mind you this was during a heatwave and the guitarist in Nightwish received a bad sunburn!
Floor is a fantastic person, very onest and humble
You'll meet her parents, and see how humble this superstar is!
is a docu , floor school reunie , how sche begame the singer of nightwish , but on the end sche cry
What a nice and wonderful godess , our queen of metal
A little news, during the last Pinkpop Festival she sang in two concerts in the same day, alone in the afternoon and with Nightwish in the evening. ;-)
Hello
I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here.
She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have a daughter. ( Freja )
Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6).
Here Floor reveals the secret of her amazing style. First she perfects the vocals, then she adds the story and emotions. Thanks for this 😊
Floor is our Valkyrie Queen, but she is also the Queen of Humility.
Floor has empathic abilities, thats the reason we feel so much emotions when she sings..
She channels the emotions from the lyrics to the listeners.
From the Human Nature album, the sequence of tracks takes you through an evolving theme. However, "Shoemaker" and "How's the Heart" are truly hallmarks even though the entire album is incredible. They encompass the points she touches on during the interview about phrase pace and style combinations making things challenging.
One thing you will learn about Nightwish is they are very humble and no egos
Great to see you delving into Floor herself with this interview. She has been very open on her own channel sharing more than most.
Maybe you want to check out a song of her solo show called Face your Demons, it's really great
She talks about her solo shows. At pinkpop she did solo gig first and full Nightwish gig a bit later at same day 😈😎❤️🇧🇻
I also recommend the video Floor did for her own TH-cam channel in which she discussed the Wacken 2013 performance of Ghost Love Score. th-cam.com/video/QW_3F186_5Q/w-d-xo.html
When you hear Shoemaker from Nightwish it will definitely blow your mind. You may want to look up Eugene Shoemaker ahead of time. th-cam.com/video/Rjp_DfvJimg/w-d-xo.html
We love Floor - and NW. She is just a great human being.
Sooner than a week, you feel much better, ewryway 🤘😊👍🇫🇮💙
I am sure others will recommend Floor's own TH-cam channel. She did so many videos from her home in Sweden that let us peak behind the curtain to get to know her better. During the pandemic, she did a lot of covers with her husband behind the camera and they were all first rate. Floor is our Valkyrie Goddess and we hold her in the highest regard. Take care!
Building fences and stuf, 💪 loved it!
love watching you see this interview knowing you have no clue what your in for.buckle up and enjoy the ride
Oh this is so Floor ....

I love Nightwish and Sabaton🤘🩵
Floor is also not afraid to make her own garden fence.
She is very good with a Drill and Hammers 🔨and drive a
Tractor 🚜
Floor means Flower 🌸 in the Netherlands and is a Dutch girl name. Always nice to know 🥰
And when Floor spins circles with her HAIR, we call it Windmills, funny right?
Thank you this was a nice introduction dear greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱🙋🏼♀️
Floor is also a Dutch male name, the son of neighbor is also called Floor.
@@Populiervogel Echt waar!!! Ik ken wel Floris of Florian....
Love your reactions ! Her appearance on Beste Zangers is highly recommended along with a recent Nightwish song Shoemaker that I think will bring you to tears. Just don’t jump right into Poet and Pendulum... just not yet
The Question Queens is resonating with Floor, the Valkyrie Queen. 🙏😊👍❤️
Also in 2019 a new species of a beetle was discovered and named after Floor. Tmesisternus floorjansenae
React to this emotional Dutch documentary/class reunion with Floor, before Nightwish did the legendary show in Tampere, Finland. It has Floors parents in it.
th-cam.com/video/zRqqma4kWIg/w-d-xo.html
Then react to The Greatest Show on Earth, live from Tampere.
And that is why this song has that phenominal ending.
th-cam.com/video/QW_3F186_5Q/w-d-xo.html
floor is a very sweet women
Desde Chile, ya que estas escuchando mas de NW podrias ver historia de la 3 cancion del albun Shoemaker y reaccionar a la cancion. [Complejidad ,ritmo, significado]
Masterpiece. Slds
So happy that floor is now cancer free. That woman is so awesome. Can’t wait until Tuomas challenges her again with their next album
That was great Thankyou
You should meet her YT channel. There are loads of personal content about her. And there's also "Floorworld". ⛄👍
Nice to view this interview!
She's just a gem, so humble so loving so beyond what we deserve. 😭😭😭
Good one.
Very funny.
Floor is Floor. That’s all and enough.
Sorry to hear about your health problems, you look really good 👍🏻. As a Nightwish fan I love the way you are really researching the backstory and how things evolved and are evolving.
Floor is such a sweetheart !!!!
I love her dearly, Although her husband has a Tank 😄.

Video suggestion:
Floor in a Dutch TV show called The Reunion ( i think you call it something like homecoming in school...?)
th-cam.com/video/zRqqma4kWIg/w-d-xo.html
I concure
Fact: our daughter was born just two days after Floor in the same hospital
( Moedervreugd in Goirle) when we lived in Tilburg.
But: she can't sing, but dances very well, and is about 30 cm shorter than Floor...
The Valkyrie gives Floorgasms!

If you want to know more about the story how Floor got to be the lead singer in 2012, you should check out the documentary “please learn the setlist in 48hours”
It’s in Finish but with english subtitles. She really had to learn the setlist in 48h.

When she spoke about her "full opera" parts in the album I think that you should react to the song called Shoemaker (live at Hellfest 2022) to find out what she meant! And if you want, you can do some research about who Eugene Shoemaker was, to understand better the meaning of the song... Keep them coming! 🤘
Greetings and welcome!
Love her giggle :)
She certainly rose to the challege from Tuomas.
Have you seen her fan videos, with her horses?
Im so glad your doing this .....she's a better person than singer
Floor my Queen, whom I serve....
I also recommend this video from Floor’s channel: th-cam.com/video/dnFMn-P6cn4/w-d-xo.html
It shows a “day in her life” at home, and is indicative of how down to earth she is.
Need to watch Floor & Hank Poort singing ( Phantom Of The Opera )
Live on BesteZangers.
Her voice range will BLOW you away.
She also does a song on there called
( I Don't Know A Thing About Love.) On the same show BesteZangers.
You will enjoy these 2 songs but her & Hank blew me away.
She is also a soloist, her new album, Paragon, is coming out soon
This is 100% proof that Nigthwish fans mindlessly click on anything that says floor.
Yes 👍😊
Floor is awesome so of course we watch her stuff!
If you are curious about the songs Floor talked about from the new album I would recommand "Shoemaker".
Interresting fact about that "nature" topic, maybe:
Floor just announced that for every order, placed on her own merch shop, a tree will be planted.
🤗🍒🤘🏻😘Debby also check het first bands, "after forever", "revamp" and the "Beste Zangers 2019" and her solo songs!!
This was the day COVID hit it big and so all her solo stuff stopped until 2022.
You should watch Floor react to the song ghost love score that she did at Waken. It's really interesting.
Check out and do a reaction to After Forever and the song Dreamflight.
If I was religious I would believe Floor Jansen is the second coming of the Christ.
Please just mes it up, it's about your feelings and emotions what your going through when listening to the songs.
I Concur !!!
I concur, on her TH-cam channel, and in number 5, you will see more of her home studio, husband, plus more interviews at her home. Check out her fan Fridays, learn more as well as get a few laughs.
