Brilliant! Really enjoyable. Not boring in any way at all. You have a like and a new subscriber! I am a UK tug nut, but rapidly gaining an appreciation of how you do things ‘across the pond’. Those engines sound like GM’s? Most post-90’s UK tugs have Rustons or more recently, Caterpillars. But they all sound great. ‘TimBatSea’ is another US tug channel that I subscribe to, and he is building up on subscribers, so maybe sneak a peak at what he does for some ideas. His tug mainly tug barge handling, not ship-handling, so your channel gives a different insight. I look forward to seeing more of your content and hope the subscriber count goes up for you. Best wishes from the UK (near the River Mersey, just across from Liverpool).
I started working on tugs at the ahe of16 in the gal Ly there 9 in he cew ,3 like the tugs today's ather 45 years and I eas skipper .so I packed my bags .I don't miss the job .only the chaps I saild with bu the eay it was on the on the river thamed
I think its awesome, not boring. Im intrested to learn how you get jobs where they come from and how they pick YOU vs the other guy etc. Or maybe theres a list like a taxi stand or something.
Amos EarthWorks, the jobs are typically contracted between our tug company and the shipping company. When a ship who’s contract we have comes into or heads out of port, our dispatcher will pick a tug depending on who’s available, how much horsepower they need, where the ship is going, etc. The we get a phone call and head out.
Thoroughly enjoying your videos! Love the engines. Thanks for doing the posts man!

This is a wild guess. probably just a little home sick but are you on the st johns river? if so is that the dames point bridge?
Colin Rocker, that is indeed the Danes point bridge and the St. John’s river.
What is the siren in the engine room about?
Alarms, they go off for different things like loss of power, low oil pressure etc.
How much do you make a year?
Enough to support my beer habit.
