Again, just loving these segments for this album. This podcast made me put Streetz iz A Mutha back in rotation this past week. Glad they discussed "I Aint Sh## Without My Homeboys," because I always play that song 3-4 times in a row. Crook's breakdown of his verse, and the catching the bus, buying a Navigator story was dope. I remember first hearing "Girls All Pause" before seeing production credits, and wondering if either Daz, Soopafly or Fredwreck did that beat. Once I found out Bink did it, I started following his work, because dude was from Virginia, but made a certified west coast c-walk classic. Kurupt worked with him before Roc-A-Fella got a hold of him.
I Aint Sh Without My Homeboys is my personal favorite song on the album. Love the whole album front to back but that joint right there just hits in a different way
I don't think many people outside of southern California heard that 19th Street Compilation by Big C-Style, but "Flossin" is such a gem. Tray Deee, Lil C-Style and Bad Azz (r.i.p.) all killed they verses on there.
@@MichaelBrown-ti1un agree nobody really talks about 19th street LBC compilation which is really dope. Tray Deee & Crooked I were featured throughout the album. Rip Bad Azz.
If or Hopefully when you do any 2pac. I'm sure you'll want AEOM or 7 Day Theory. But it would be great to get your perspectives on other albums that are given less coverage, such as Strictly 4 My... and Me Against The World.
Another Great breakdown of a awesome album...Can we get a synopsis of Above the laws Black Mafia life or Uncle Sam's Curse 2 slept on legendary albums Rip KMG
Uncle Sam's Curse might be the most underrated west coast album ever. Excellent g-funk, but with conscious lyrics, while still keeping it street and gutter.
You guys gotta do Bad Azz - Personal Business next I was playing this album today and remembering how phenomenal this album was and yesterday marked 23 years since its release. I know Yac the only one on this album but we definitely gotta start more talk on how she be beasting shit. Also can’t wait for the Doggy Angels album review so we can talk about how they ripped it up amongst all them men on “Put Ya Hands Up” which is easily my favorite song on that album….
@@2pacforever-v8jBad Azz's verse on Gangbang 4 Real is one of his hardest. Still don't understand why that song isn't on the streaming versions of that Eastsidaz album. Smh.
No it isnt. The big singles from 2001, and the sequencing and mixing were better than anything that came out that year. Both are classics tho. Kurupt was a major player on 2001, so he won on both projects.
@@MichaelBrown-ti1un to each his own... you probably listen to Eminem and his beat selection is trash he's a lyrical beast tho but I dont know one person who will say a slap that Eminem in the car at the house or at the function but YOU would be that guy if you think 2001 is better. Underground will always be better than commercial
Reality Tray Dee 🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤🔥
Just wanna say this podcast is everything I knew it would be!!! Oh, and that Lakers hat Big Tray Deee got on is dope!!!💯
