Its just as well, if you were to actually make it break the sound barrier you probably would've had the same problem that the navy did when they made the XF-84H thunderschreech

Oh I promise You I've been goggling if it was possible to build a supersonic turboprop like 5 days ago! Thanks for the videos, they are awesome, keep up the good work, good luck 🤞
Well I think that the company would be very impressed with the fact that during testing having issues with the elevator not operating to its full extent, the main hull of the craft remained mostly intact and the entire crew survived with only a few injuries.
I only recently found your channel and I love it. I can't wait for this game to be fully released. I'm restoring a Blackburn Buccaneer IRL so I would love to recreate that aircraft. There were plans to make a supersonic version if you want to try that.
Btw at the end you can tell to your contractor: “Due to intensive speed testing, our craft has gone through rapid unplanned disassembly using ground-based methods” I think they wouldn’t suspect a thing :)
The nose is very 60’s, it looks good. No supersonic props kinda sucks but physics be physicking. Could you try making a biplane (that is aesthetically similar to stunt or WWI/interwar biplanes) that goes supersonic? It doesn’t need to be props since biplanes are already have so much drag slowing it down
You should defenetly try to make the successor (or predecessor) of the sr71 blacbird, that is capable of mach 6+ (if the game permits it) and stealth. Would be really cool
I've been working on a supersonic turboprop aircraft design myself (not in Flyout, but by using equations and guidelines from an actual aircraft design book). So far, I'm optimistic. Based on the zero-lift drag coefficient of the F-4 Phantom II at Mach 1 (which is 0.0399), the zero-lift drag force on the F-4 at Mach 1 at 36,000 feet is about 7,042 pounds. Its lift-induced drag coefficient at Mach 1 (for an angle of attack of 0 degrees) is about 0.19. Assuming an efficiency factor of 0.8, this leads to an induced drag coefficient of 0.00509. At the same flight conditions, this is a drag force of 898 pounds (for a total drag force of 7,940 pounds). If we replaced the jet engines in the F-4 with one or two turboprops and shaft them together to power a propeller in the nose, we'd need at lead 7,940 pounds of thrust at Mach 1 for the plane to reach the sound barrier. The XF-88b aircraft demonstrated a propeller efficiency of 0.78 at Mach 1.01. If we assume that a modern propeller is at least that efficient, we can achieve a thrust of about 7,942 pounds with a turboprop of 17,920 horsepower. This is somewhat more than the most powerful existing turboprop (Kuznetsov NK-12, at about 15,000 horsepower). However, we can put two of those NK-12s in the F-4 where the turbojets would have been. That should be more than sufficient to allow it to reach the sound barrier. The F-4 is chunky, too. A much sleeker design should reach the sound barrier more easily. All of this assumes I got the math right, of course.
Love the design of the plane. Would probably duct the fans and put them inside the hull somehow to help with crossing the sound barrier in level flight. I love inverted gull wing planes, but they had a very specific purpose. To get the propeller off the ground to get more blade diameter while keeping the landing gear as short as possible for stability and retraction. Putting the engine at the bottom of the anhedral wing section nullifies the main reason for the wing design. It does allow you increased bomb loads as was another side effect.
