    Donations
I am not comfortable adding this to my site or TH-cam channel. I receive many emails and messages asking me how people can help support The Art Gear Guide, mainly I think due to the fact that I purchase all of the supplies myself, except those sent directly from companies kind enough to do so. I have decided to add a donations button to my site, however, I feel the best way to add such a campaign is as follows, all donations made will be used to purchase art products for review, however, all products purchased using donated funds, after they have been reviewed, will be used as giveaways to subscribers of the TH-cam Channel, the web site or any of the above social media platforms. This way I personally will not benefit from financial donations. I have set this channel and site up for my own enjoyment and not profitable gain. I feel with this support method, everyone wins but not in a financial.

    My Own Personal Art
I would not exactly call myself an artist in the true sense of the word, however I absolutely love art as it has helped me immensely dealing with clinical depression due to my battle with constant chronic pain and disability. Follow the link to check out my own projects bit.ly/2qAa7BN
    Thank You
Finally, thank you so much for all of your support, without all of you, this channel and The Art Gear Guide would simply not be the same.
    Thank you so much.

I am very fond of Caran d'Ache products, but I think I prefer the lovely Derwent Graphitint pencils for much better results.

Lovely review. I love graphite art. Graphite is just such a warm expressive medium. Beautiful feather

I just bought these pencils open stock and the red one is not hard at all, they are all soft alike. The tint is really very subtle, I love them so much that I am thinking of getting the blocks too :)
I bought them from an italian online store, but now most stores sell them in sets and open stock.

Excellent review! I love the effects these pencils are capable of producing. I love the subtlety of the textures and colour in your feather. Hopefully, someday if and when my art evolves and takes me in this direction, I will consider this set. You are absolutely correct about how phenomenal graphite art can be. Thanks for introducing this set to me.

Caran d'Ache do sell pencil products other than those designed for professionals. Many of them are not readily available in the UK. I am surprised, though, that these coloured water soluble products have been put on the market when, compared to Graphitint, their quality appears to be pants. The B-3B-6B offerings are more difficult to assess compared to their Faber-Castell and Derwent competitors. I suspect they are very similar. In case they all look better'in the flesh', I have purchased the reviewed set on ebay.co.uk for 17.85 GBP. A fool and his money are soon parted.
As part of any future comparison, I would ask Harry to consider painting his coloured feather using Derwent Graphitint pencils, to enable his viewers to make comparisons.
Thank you Harry, for another thought-provoking review.

I mentioned in the video that I will be doing a comparison video of the other companies who make this similar product. I didn’t mention names because when I do a review I like to keep the review about that one company.
I have added a few comparison reviews to my channel and website but as far as this product is concerned I will be comparing Derwent Graphitint bit.ly/2jljb99 and Spectrum Noir Colourtint bit.ly/colourtint both products I already have reviews of on the channel, but I will absolutely compare all three products on a dedicated video.
I will indeed add this video as soon as I can because I think the results will be interesting.

Been thinking of trying out water soluble graphite for a while now. Looks very nice but graphitint looks good too and a little more affordable for me haha. Good review Harry :)

Hi Lin, there is no doubt the Graphitint is a little bit more affordable and better value for money given there are 24 pencils in that set. However I will do a comparison video soon of these against the Derwent Graphitint and the Spectrum Noir ColourTint. Thank you so much Lin

I hope you don't mind me adding this- please feel free to delete if you do mind- but Jacksons sell the 6 set with waterbrush for 18.50 plus postage. As the Amazon link currently is out of stock I thought this might be helpful to anybody wanting to try them.
Thank you, a fine review as per usual.

Of course you can add this, the cheaper the product can be found for the better as I want readers and subscribers to always get the best deals possible. I’ve always said that what makes this channel so popular is the comments you guys leave. When I do a review I provide good information, but when you guys leave your own opinions of the product, I think it helps to enhance the review and help some looking to buy the product decide.
The only reason I only check Amazon for prices is because when I do a review, I draw art work and edit a speed drawing, write a full review, record a video review and photograph the work for still images. So when it comes to links, I just don’t have the time to check every art store globally for all countries so I just stick to Amazon as it is a wider generic reach. That’s why I am so grateful when someone like yourself finds the product cheaper or a deal available and adds it in the comments. I don’t think of The Art Gear Guide as my site, in fact if you look through my videos, I never refer to subscribers as My subscribers or the channel as mine, I prefer to think of it as a community platform where we can all share our opinions, deals and experiences with everyone else and hopefully help others get a good deal. Thank you so much for the information and I am sure other subscribers will also thank you

faber castell still has the best change in value. These have little shift in value like all the others.

The Faber Castell graphite pencils are hard to beat, I really love them and the way they sharpen as well. I have a set of the TomBow Graphite pencils and they are quite nice as well, I will be uploading that review soon.

Oh dear Harry, I know they will be great, just a thought on why the red one seems harder could they have added the pigment to a b grade lead, then the other colours moving up the grades correspondingly, the blue didn’t look as soft as the green for example. Just a thought. I shall carry on watching the review now lol

Don't bother, this is meaningless because the video white balance is all wrong. Look at the yellow paper...

    • @TheArtGearGuide
      @TheArtGearGuide  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

Don’t bother with what, you haven’t really described what people shouldn’t bother with other than the video is crap because of the white balance. Of course I also have a written review with images, which I always announce and leave links to which can also then help
