Drone Films Blue Whale Mom and Calf Playing with Bottlenose Dolphin

- In the late afternoon on June 4th 2018 this cow/cal pair of blue whales interacted with offshore Bottlenose Dolphin, as well as approached our small vessel. Note the whales approached us, and we either had our boat our of gear, or engine completely off when approached by the whales.

Despite being the largest creature to ever roam the Earth, Blue Whales seem to be very peaceful. Amazing footage
This is the first time I saw a blue whale being friendly with other animals
It's so sleek for such a massive creature. And what shapes it has besides the tapering body, have their purpose: like the ridge in front of it's breathing hole breaks and splits the the waves so they won't splash into the air intake. the eyes bilge out a bit, obviously for a good field of vision but I think also the change the impression behind the eyes also serves their aqua dynamics - maybe directs the stream nicely for their fins.
Dolphins. The dogs of the sea. Willing to play with almost anybody

Watching this (and loving it), I was wondering if you had an idea of what speed the blue whales were going here? or what a whale's typical speed might be . . or how far a whale might go in a 24 hour period?

A 2002 report estimated there were 5,000 to 12,000 Blue Whales worldwide, in at least five populations. The IUCN estimates that there are probably between 10,000 and 25,000 Blue Whales worldwide today.
blues are the most innocent and shy whale in ocean. I couldn't not understand how human can kill them so cruelly!! Shame on for whale hunter!!

and they hunted whales mostly for the blubber which they made lamp oil of. Before electrisity and people started drilling after oil!
Iceland, Norway, and Japan still kill whales, thousands of them each year for their meat.
They actually live in the water 24/7. Mamals like us. And when you go to bed they are swimming in the water. When you're going to work they are still in the water. When you are stressed they are still swimming peacefully in the water. The largest animals ever.
