I have been contemplating the upgrade from 36v to 48v, but am concerned about the Solenoid and Controller which are both labeled as 36v. I am operating a TXTPDS 36v with 3 12v 100AH LiFePO4 batteries in series, so was thinking of just adding another 12v battery in series. The controller I have is 1206MX-1120 with a 36v Solenoid which is already wired for the rocker fwd and reverse switch. I am struggling to know if I need to spend mega money for a new controller.

That’s a great question. I’m just a layman, but I would think your controller needs to be 48v.
I would have to recommend contacting a golf cart mechanic to answer it.

I think you’re saying, go lithium?

Good info. I have to pick a minor nit here. When you talk about it you're saying Lithium. What you have is Lithium Iron Phosphate as opposed to a Lithium-ion battery. There's a major difference in terms of safety and longevity. I'm sure it was just a verbal shorthand but there may be folks who don't really know the difference and are just learning about it so for their benefit maybe use the technical terms so they don't get confused. Saying 'lifepo4' may throw off a newbie. If you do any other videos maybe make it clear that you got a Li (Lithium) Fe (Iron) PO4 (Phosphate) battery to help out those who aren't really familiar with it and are just learning.
I mean no offense, I think you're the best.
