Wow those turned out great. I am temporally working in Del Rio and never would have thought all those beautiful rocks would have come out of the dry river beds around here. I watched the sphere video also of the piece you got out of the Nueces River and that was cool to watch that process, thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for watching Beth, I appreciate it! I’m about to finish another tumbling video with rocks I found along the South Llano River near Junction Texas so keep an eye out for that one.
That chert came out great! We do have an abundance of it in Texas. I like how the agate and wood came out too. This makes me look forward to my next hunt.
There’s certainly a bunch of it out there to find! In about a week I’ll put out another tumbling video with an assortment of rocks found along the Colorado river so stay tuned 🤞.
Thanks Travis, it was a fun tumble. I’ll have a similar tumbling video out in about a week which should also have some sweet results. Thanks for watching!
With some of those more pitted and pocketed rocks, what do you do between stages to prevent grit contamination? I would have lost sleep moving some of those on to the next stage 😂
Honestly I’ve never had an issue with contamination. I do a basic toothbrush cleaning after each stage and since I normally grind my rocks smooth in the coarse stage there’s no place for grit or slurry to hide. It’s so important to examine the rocks dry between stages. I cringe when I see people examine their rocks wet 😆. Thanks for watching!

I’m so glad you liked it Clenton, thanks for watching!
For the most part they turned out great love the chert ❤
Chert is one of my favorites, that’s for sure. Thanks so much for watching!
Cannot believe those fossils didn't turn out better than the others. Wow!!!😮
It’s a bummer but limestone is notorious for being that way 😞.
Those are sweet!

I think the grit is worn down to almost nothing when tumbled long enough.
I still like the duds though.
Yup, they all have something to offer I suppose. Thanks for watching!
