Hands down one of my favorite games of all time. Definitely my favorite game on the Switch.
I know its not even in the same genre but I genuinely recommend the game Spiritfarer to everyone who likes cassette beasts, its a farming game but the characters in Spiritfarer feel so much like the characters in Cassette Beasts to me and Spiritfarer is a exclusively character driven game, so you get to see them shine. Just... Be prepared to cry. A lot.
I'm going to use this comment section to let the world know my love for Cassette Beasts. It is not just the best monster taming game in recent memories, but the best indie rpg bar none.
Thank Ed!!! Been having some of the worst time but still optimistic and stopped watching for sometime! This video brought so much joy to me and I actually want to go back and replay the entire game for Cassette beasts! Hands down one of my favorite games Evers!!! Definitely top 3 games! Thank again!

Man, At this point, we have not received any announcements about it, probably won't be released this year
@sr_sun6969 ngl i cant really think of a good next update other than the mobile...we have endless and steam workshop now so there's no reason for the to worry about cranking out new content so they should be working on the mobile release...ofc this is all speculation but it makes sense in my mine❤
according to the ama they did recently, there's a different team/company working on the mobile port, so i don't think updates for this version will affect when the mobile version gets released
I started a new file after a year of not playing and worked to make Palangolin as OP as possible, with stacked AP Starters with the "share with allies" and spamming the old 1-2 i'm able to clear whole teams on turn 1. With maxed out m.attack on the MC of course.
And this is how I learned that you can't increase the Jump Scare Flinch chance directly. I do wanna play around with fully compatible Critical Mass for some stupidly high proc chances
I agree that cassette beasts deserve a sequel but they would have to make another banger to be a "franchise"
Id love to see Cassette Beasts become a series. The 80s theming alongside a more UK oriented selection of mons a characters, not to mention a cool combat system and an S-tier waifu in the form of Kayleigh.
The game earns its place on my top 10 list, but I'd like to see the cast return for more.
@AzureMoebius22 ya, but if we look at history, Dragon Age 2 didn't deserve a sequel, but the name alone made it happen. Thus, all games after were even more divisive very rarely does the sequel do as good as the original. It happens more often with games as refinement happens a lot with games, but only the originals have the impact sequels normally don't borderlands 2 assassin's creed 2 and arkham city were really the only "sequels" that had more impact
@@willheismusical First off, tell that to the likes of Splatoon and Xenoblade. Both series got excellent sequels.
Also, these are indie games, I'd like to think indie games that become series do better when it comes to sequels.
@AzureMoebius22 I prefer Xenoblade chronicles 1 over the second and the third over both, so that is more Nintendo having great taste in rpgs than what I was commenting on. I choose my words carefully, leaving room for anomalies. And no indie teams are now seeing more traffic, and we will see how they respond 🙄 😑 I don't owe them loyalty or my money they have to earn it

After i got through 50 train cars, my game got stuck. The background and music was normal, but all my controls stopped responding.
Funny how they finally added steam workshop but the 2 best mods are part of the vanilla now

From what I know like 1/1000 but people who have been doing PvP have also been fielding full teams of shinies so in the post game you can probably farm them extremely easily.
@@TheFearsomeRat with the candle it def is easier. Getting fuse material will be easier now with this update.
By default it's 1 in 1000 - 0.1%
Rogue Fusions - 2%
Flood Rogue Fusions - 5%
Fusion Swarms - 10%
Static encounter - 2%
Orb Fusion - 20%
You can use ritual candle to make sure next Rogue Fusion will have guaranteed bootleg
How did you make this instant headshot build? Is there a tutorial in the channel?
First, you'll need a Khepri and the Headshot sticker, both of which are tricky to find mid-game and easy to find late-game. Once you have both, you'll need to collect 7 "Random Start" stickers and attach them to the Khepri along with Headshot. That will make the Khepri use 1-7 (I've averaged 3-4) uses of Headshot when sent into battle. Pair this with a second equally equipped Khepri for your partner and the whole game can be beaten ridiculously quickly. Problem is, the target is randomized with each use of it so bosses like Puppetox can be a problem as you can easily OHKO yourself and random bootlegs that appear won't *usually* get a chance to survive long enough to be recorded.
@PikadrewTheCreeper thanks! I'm late game, I have a Khepri and some headshots, but I don't have 7 random starters, will need to find some. BTW, I have a lot of "+1 slot" rare stickers and with sticker fusion I can put them on the random starters and the headshots, would it be worth it? Like having 10 random starters instead of just 7?
He did make a tutorial on the khepri build. He even goes over where to record more khepri and how to re-roll shops to get the random starter stickers.
Although be careful, because further into the train monsters will have “Machine Curse” which is a sticker that shuts down khepri completely and self KOs.
I can use it in the first 50 cars of the train though, and it is helpful for farming archangels regardless. So I would still try to get two khepris anyways.

YOU played the DLC without looking for new music. I scoured the internet and found someone online who posted the new soundtrack on TH-cam months before it was on officially released online and fused in every new battle looking for new songs with lyrics. YOU played the new update without even noticing the new music. I'VE already memorized half the new lyrics. We do not have the same type of enthusiasm towards this game.
does… does anyone know if you can even fight the main antagonist of the game on the train, I’m curious 😭 “friends and foes alike” on the announcements are too vague

Is this game worth it? Everytime i like something about it, I hear something that puts me off.
I think most people here would say its worth it, myself included. I would like to hear whats been putting you off though
@Wizardjudd I fear I'll be crucified for this but: The battle system, fusions, sticker system, and exploration. They all seem like stuff I'd like but the more I learn about it, the less I'm interested
Well it may be that the game is just not for you if these mechanics are not implemented in a way you would like. fortunately i beleve alot of this stuf is covered within the first 2 hours of gameplay so you can test it out on steam and get a refund if its not for you if thats something you would be willing to do. If not this chanel has alot of usefull information on those fronts you can hopefully decide if its worth it or not.
@Wizardjudd Ed is how I learned about it. But when I asked fans of the game in a server, it just became a mishmash of stuff I wouldn't enjoy.
If thats the case i probably wouldnt bother with cassette beasts. it probably wouldnt be worthwhile if theres stuff in those categories that'll bother you too much.

I wish I could see the good in this game that others do. I've tried playing it many times and the gameplay just does not compel me. The whole type interaction system is neat on paper, but I found it unnecessarily gimmicky and largely inconsequential the majority of the time as you can simply overpower the enemies regardless. I gave it a good 7 hours as well but my interest stagnated.
If people like it more for it's story/characters/vibe then I get it, but I just wasn't feeling it enough. Beastieball does everything that I wish this game did.
