Maybe a little series from different decades ex: 1970's shopping stores in Follansbee, Gas Stations, Schools maybe even Churches and Community Events? Then the next video could be how things changed and moved on into the 1980's so on and so forth? I know that would be a lot of work, gathering old photos and slides and stills... My dad was a emt when this crash happened he responded to the crash,2 of my aunts lived in highland hills at the time .1hr after 1st comment. I just talked to my dad to ask what happened that day since I was only 3 at the time ,my dad was sitting down to watch the premiere of "Higway to heaven" when he received a call from his aunt that a plane had just crashed in her back yard and there was debris on her front porch . He arrived at her house before first responders and military personnel ,my aunt had a bomb laying next to her porch and part of the engine even though the military later said there was no live muntions onboard they restricted first responder access to the site .my dad said you could hear machine gun ammo popping from the fire in the fuselage and that the plane was relatively intact for having crashed in a wooded area .he also said he remembered finding the pilot hanging from his parachute stuck in a tree , he said there is alot of things from 40 years ago he doesn't remember but that day he rembers well. Ps if you want to know any other interesting historical events from brooke county history I know alot and could share with you some great content providing stories.
