@@JWKDESIGN thank you! The on-site take a little more because the projects take time to complete and my videographer also has 6 other clients. I’m glad you like these.👍🏼
YES!!! This is the video I've been waiting for!🎉 I have a small house on a large lot, and I love seeing what you've done with these homes. The covered side entry on the first home, the front patio on the second, and the back fence on the third are all gorgeous! I love all the landscaping you picked too, so thanks for pointing out specific plants. Beautiful work as always!
Love example one. You added so much use in that super large driveway. The covered patio for the side entrance added so much curb appeal to the home. Really like the wrap around side way and it was wide enough for two people, I hate the builder standard concrete path only wide enough for one person. What I really like about this design is that you added curb appeal, added some shade and privacy to the home with the small lime light trees, and reduced the amount of lawn to be mowed and at the same time made mowing the lawn easier.
A great resource for homeowners looking to improve their curb appeal. The landscaping ideas are practical and visually appealing. It's inspiring to see how even small changes can make a big difference.
@@U2BearCat very true. Experience is huge though. I was in the field for over 10 years. I learned how to install, all the products, and made LOTS of mistakes. I would recommend at least a year of in the field experience. It will help you tremendously.
Be careful with landscapers. They ALWAYS want to sell you more. You don't want an overly complex landscape which can be a maintenance nightmare. I see a lot of modest homes with excessive landscaping and this can in fact detract from the value of the home and in some cases over improve for the neighborhood. Rule of thumb, do what the neighbors are doing. Don't over do it or under do it compared to the neighborhood.
@@kennixox262 it’s very important to add value to your house, but you only live once so if you want to do something different from your neighbors, then absolutely do what you want! I think you can have your cake and eat it too.
@@BobbyKDesigns Adding value in the right ways. Landscaping is nice and we do it extensively in my neighborhood. It's high end and desert landscaping and we comply with an overall plan for our HOA. Saying that, not everyone lives in a four million dollar house. If one lives in the average prices home having a nice landscape is nice but koi ponds, water features, "exotic" plants or plants ill suited for the region is a waste. Many who buy used homes may not want to deal with the previous owner's dream. People have the freedom to do what they want landscape wise but within limits. Most get hooked on those HGTV shows and go overboard and landscapers I have dealt with in the past want to go overboard. My job, is to keep a tight leash. Never over improve a property above and beyond the neighborhood. Same goes for interior design, finishes, appliances etc. If you truly want to add value, do the work behind the walls, to where people won't see but will reap the rewards. Super efficient HVAC, superior insulation, solar - if appropriate, better plumbing. High quality windows. My view, if yo see it on HGTV forget it. That crap is out of date, too trendy and tacky - mostly. A lot of designers don't know when to stop.
@@kennixox262 all valid points. Tasteful and adding value to the home and neighborhood is the goal WHILE giving the client what they want. It can be done. As I make more content I will be speaking from this mindset to help those who overdo it.👍🏼
I like the idea that these aren't your client houses, just random houses you drove by and were like "grab the camera, this place looks really nice" only to have the home owner come out yelling "get off my lawn"
