Paul reasoning for not bringing Javier are lies. He had already decided he wouldn't take Javier witj Jill and he preferred Jill because Paul was just as bad as Jill
Jill cried over a dead squirrel, and hoped that Javier had burned to death in the fire. That's all you need to know about her complete moral bankruptcy. She needs to drop the New Age belief in the "Universe" and really get to know God.
Really get to know God. God got mad and drowned (almost) all of his children. God is a savage. Agree with him, or burn in the most horrific fire for eternity.
Jill, Justin, and Amber conspired to STEAL the sleeping bags from people who were trying to survive the bitter-cold nights in the Alaska autumn; Justin stole the bags and then mocked those who had to suffer for his selfish crime. Then he participated in destroying Javier's camp. Then he was caught lying among his co-conspirators and accused of stealing food. Finally, he shredded the shelter of his co-conspirators and abandoned them. Pressure does not make character; pressure reveals character. Their character was revealed and, hopefully, one of them might eventually grow from it when they receive the shame they brought on themselves by their vile conduct. It's so great to hear Justin redeem himself by reflecting on the lessons that the Universe is sending him. That's a greater gift than money can buy. Thank you for diving into the mental health component of this. There are physiological componants to trauma that can create pitfalls for people. So the recovery process is going to be different for everyone, especially when we had just come out of a global pandemic. Yikes! And it raises a lot of great sociological questions. Historically, how has cultural trauma affected integration and adaptation? Would innovation be as progressive if people didn't feel that they were suffering? Does understanding the physical componants of trauma help the "mind over matter" spirit? Crazy awesome discussions to be had! I think I could teach an entire semester of sociology or psychology class, using an episode a week. It is legitimately the smartest reality show out there! Phrase of the week: "Embrace the suck"
Justin is a really awful guy. I’m happy he got kicked out in the end. He seems like the kind of guy that would go along with any bad idea. I can't watch all now, but want to day one thing; to see people trashtalk... think all is skripted because of some random animals fimed and than a nother... it made me think over... with what ... mindset I step to the comments and opinions of other people. This was a really interesting and fascinating show and even showed so much important truth about us and how our minds / morals / body's work. It baffled me... that some people writing heir comments about x and y ... did not even think about the absurde effort and effects of staying there for 2 let alone 5 weeks. What your mind... your body... grinds ... you down. What is luck, what is skillset. How much raw footage there was and hat to be worked through for us to watch this seemingly straight forward story... with drama, hope, excitement etc. And to here people talk about it like " a bad survival show" bc of some stupid reason like they did xy- it made me bitter and furious too, what alpha did, but just use that as knowledge... this is how people will act when the sakes are high enough. Seems like some people have never been wronged without redemption. Like... sorry, but this is how it often works... just see this and think about our ancestors... how we worked out family, faith, group identity and difficult decisions in ... how do u say it - inconsistenc with those values. Or how ruthless managers think- how people think then they prioritize different things. Fascinating!
Do you guys think (that for example) Jill was cast to bring some drama to the show? Often in reality shows people get cast for this exact reason and I wonder if that was the case on outlast as well. Loved the conversation and the insights it brought!
Your daughter will follow your footsteps and be a well used small man just like you. I truly hope your daughter let alone your wife still loves or even respects you. What a sad life.
i get you but money talks and Paul brought it home whatever way he had to. zero respect and no integrity. he knew that's how he was going to play the game from the start.
I like watching Alone a lot but this show definitely did add some unique and different elements. Paul as hard of a decision as that was, I would’ve done the same thing, I couldn’t see that team making it much further. I hope y’all 3 pooled $25K each or something and gave it to Angie. Best of luck on your future endeavors, was a great show to watch.
Paul: Great podcast with Justin & Seth. Hopefully, you will bring Angie and Javier to the podcast one day. Heck, even Jordan too. I would love to see those three perspectives on how the show went.
I totally missed the part about how the winning team must be no more than 4 members, interesting! I don't think the show did a good job laying out the game parameters, but I thought it was overall very entertaining to watch. I didn't read anything more into the human behaviour aspects because like you said, it's a game show. No need to attack anyone after the fact for how they played. But you're also right, if the show was able to make people get invested emotionally, then they did a great job with editing a compelling story.
paul you are the same type of person as Jill, Amber and Justin. Kudos to all others especially Brian. why did Seth come to talk to you two. With that move, he spoiled my opinion of himself. Anyway, I hope this was the only season. I hope you are a better person than I think.
I see all these comments about none of the winners being deserving of the money. But I disagree. I think the great contestants showed themselves early. Alpha, Justin - I think he was in a difficult position where he had a team that he needed to play along with to have a chance to win. In his position, I don't know that I'd have played differently. Bravo, Javier & Brian - I really enjoyed watching both. They were a great pair, and if the show stayed on the initial plan of "Outlast" the other contestants, they'd have been real competitors. Charlie, Angie, Nick, and Seth. Angie came off an asshole in the beginning and proved to be an asset in the first few days. She was super cool until her trip off the land. Seth and Nick showed great character throughout the entirety of the show. Delta, Joel, Jordan, and Paul. I believed Delta to be the team to win from day 1, and then Jordan medically evacuated. Paul, much respect, brother. Going to Charlie was the right move. Sorry to Joel because he had a difficult loyalty choice to make and had to be besties with Dawn, a move I'd have played the same in his situation but not what I'd want to do if given better options. I respect all of you guys, Justin good luck to you and your family. Paul and Seth I hope you guys make the most of that success. 🤘
I am certainly no fan of Jillian Amber, but this guy going on and on about he was the “muscle” when he weighs like a buck 30 on a good day? Please… no no
What a disaster this show turned out to be for Netflix !! - I don't believe that the writers meant for thievery and back stabbing to prevail. Shows how a couple bad apples can ruin the entire bunch. I thought it was going to be about finding food and toughing out play the elements? I was very disappointed and will end my subscription !! 😠
Why for Javier though? He literally could’ve joined the other side and cross the lake.. But he was to stuck and petty to do that because he didn’t want to let the sociopaths win. So he let them win 💀
I think Justin might have been hired by the producers, to sway the show, which he did an excellent job. Possibly extensive military background (special operations). “JustinCourt” brilliant name for the character he played. HILARIOUS! His move of leaving the women was the only way Netflix could set up a “men vs. women” scenario without making it look politically incorrect. SUCH GOOD ENTERTAINMENT! This was the only man soap opera I watched, laughed my ass off. Binge watched the entire season, thanks dudes!!!
I'll go with everything except the military background. More like a possible extensive history of drug addiction and petty theft. It's the way he carries himself.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a substantial criminal record because he seems like the kind of guy where if any friend said we should steal this, or fight this person, he’d be like yup I’m down for whatever.
Oh, shut up I don’t have a criminal record. Maybe you should listen to the podcast again ya Barney.
Bottom line is this guy cracked under pressure and threw his integrity out the window. Justin, Jill, and Amber literally ruined the shows ending imo
I hope we see you guys again it's been very unexpected
would this podcast (and others) happened if they are all morale-clean ? just think about it :)
It's easy to forget because the devil duo ladies stole the show when it comes to being bad.
But don't forget Paul Reece is a coward and what he did shows you would not want to depend on him in a life or death situation.
It's his character, it's in his nature.
Awww I’m sorry.. good thing it was a Reality TV Game show for $1m and not life or death.. I guess I could hide behind my keyboard while eating a Hostess snack cake in my mom’s basement though.. then I’ll be brave like you.. oh, you should apply for season two.. I’m sure you’d do remarkable!!
@@paulpreece this comment proves my point
@@OnceUponReddit You’re acting like you wouldn’t do the same thing for your family. He realized that Delta camp was deteriorating and made the smart play.
Sure It is hard to watch what happened to Delta and the approach Paul took was not perfect (having a conversation with team members in Delta first and leaving a trap would be hmm.. a nicer thing to do) he did what he had to do to win and that was well within rules of the game.
The analogy of what Paul did would probably be ending a relationship with a phone call instead of face to face meeting ;).
While I don't think Paul did anything wrong I can't say that about Justin.
@@andrzejgajewski359 He did what he thought was to be done, but what about a fair and square talk about his decision with his teammates? Not to do that is acting as a coward. And he has to live with this opinion about him from millions of people all over the world.
Is there a part 2?
How was Justin able to be voted out? Since there was no voting
He didn't have a choice, what was he gonna do? If he refused to leave they would have just thrown his stuff out of camp
There was no rules
Stealing sleeping bags from folks who then have to sleep in the cold was evil and psychopathic behavior. And with those two witches with him For the world to see for all time.
you gave him Weller 12 year?
Of course she was. Jill and her minion literally made the content
Paul is a snake didn’t care for his game play!
Love listening, thanks for bringing in the cast for talks!
Good stuff! I enjoyed the Pod and Justin’s perspective. It definitely helps you understand the show better.
Happy no one from alpha won🎉🎉🎉
Justin looked good day one and turned into a tweeker day 3
Paul: Great podcast with Justin & Seth.
Agree the same. I hate that guy with the fucking family children and whoever he was refering to.
@@kristianbejbpersonally Paul was my favorite ur just mad u didn’t win 😂
It’s a game grow up
Justin should go to the range with Eddie Ray Routh, can always use more training.
Great episode. Very interesting details on the show.
Please… no no
Gave them a perfect excuse to break up a team then let him go earning them each another 75k. Not saying it’s wrong just gave them a sanctimonious out.
Yeah.. go give it another listen. The amount of people per team made zero difference in the amount you won. Same payout if it was 2 or 4
What a disaster this show turned out to be for Netflix !! - I don't believe that the writers meant for thievery and back stabbing to prevail.
Shows how a couple bad apples can ruin the entire bunch. I thought it was going to be about finding food and toughing out play the elements? I was very disappointed and will end my subscription !! 😠
What happened? You deleted a bunch of videos?
Felt sorry for both Javier and Justin 😢
Why for Javier though? He literally could’ve joined the other side and cross the lake.. But he was to stuck and petty to do that because he didn’t want to let the sociopaths win. So he let them win 💀
@@aClownBaby-Jill and Amber were literally saying “He would be stupid to come over here” so where was he supposed to go?? He had to bow out
Bring Javier
It's the way he carries himself.
in the end with who was left in season 1 the right people won for sure . the right people of who was left . i absolutely think that Javier would win hands down if it was a single person challenge. but the team that lost could not have deserved to lose more .that was a horror show in human nastiness
Watching my way through this… Thanks for sharing more behind the scenes fellas!
Charlie didn't let the Darkside get to them and stayed loyal doing everything right and they deserved their win and I am glad only they won.
I didn’t think Justin would feel ok with the Charlie guys after he was dismissed by them and to me they didn’t need to do that at all
Where’s Angie?
Good stuff. 👍
Tell him I challenge him to mutual combat
Actually really like Justin
Paul making excuses for inhumane actions is a bit disappointing I must say.
Seth was a snake too, what did he actually do the whole show?? He was good at presenting himself like a workhorse but I didn't see him do shit the whole time.
Paul youre the biggest rat in the entire show
I can think of at least 3 ppl worse than him actually lol
Justin. it was relaxing when u kicked out of both groups and u just showed your real face which is not a man
Loud buzzing noise is very loud. Hard to listen to this
I didn’t hear that first time through but I definitely hear it now. I’ll try to fix it but I’m afraid it was in my soundboard and I missed it.
2 minutes into this interview and I realized that it was Paul, didn't pay attention when I clicked the video, and had to stop watching. Screw you man! You were just as bad as Jill and Amber. Seth, is that his name? Was eh, ok. Overall none of these people except maybe Javier could survive out there and were a bunch of ____!
Ha ha what a kook you are!😂😂
Says he has a strong mindset but steals
Tactical maneuver that moved the game forward.
Yeah you couldn’t cut it out there, guarantee you that ya kook.

What???
Your unit? lol says the one that abandoned his own team
Are you ever gonna get angie back on?
Paul was a complete idiot for his age I though he would know how to make better decisions. Honestly the whole Charlie team were morons acting like they didn’t know how to handle Jill . Bunch of chickens 🐓 for allowing Javier to leave instead of standing up to Jill and Amber
They lost my respect by that and also wanting to take Jill and then letting Jill scare them to doing exactly what she wanted which was kicking Justin off the team. Weak men
