Nitro Engine Flywheel Collet Shimming

You may run into this problem when running different engines, the nitro engine flywheel may need to be shimmed to move it away from the case. Very simple but effective. This will work on all engine flywheels that NEED to be shimmed, first install your flywheel regular with no shims, if it's rubbing against the case then you need to shim it. The size shim you want to use is OD: 10mm, ID: 7mm, thickness: 0.5mm

Shiiii you saved me bro. I've just built my first kit and I was having issues with the clutch just how you mentioned. When i get home I'll have to run her up. I have the x 8ight elite with reds r5r racer v5.0 and I've been watching your vids for a while so i got my first nitro so looking forward to it . Gotta get me some of that bonesbrew next week. I never use channel locks or any normal pliers to install a flywheel, I use the Tamiya No Mar channel locks or a flywheel tool (TLR, RM2 or whatever) to install a flywheel so I don't gough the aluminum

Are all nitro Collets the same size. Or are they specific to engine brand

Not all of them are the same, some are specific to the flywheel you are using, always use the one the give you with a flywheel or clutch

The easiest way to prevent that is JUST RUN THE REDS FLYWHEEL EAZY FIX LOL

@@LawrenceTimme you run the risk of putting to much pressure on that front Clutch bell bearing when you tighten up the clutch bell screw
