- Delhi Master Plan 2041 is one of the key instruments that facilitates Delhi’s
development by assessing the present condition and guiding how to achieve the desired
development. The anchor agency for the master plan is the Delhi Development Authority.
Implementation of the Plan is the collective responsibility of all agencies involved in the
development of Delhi, including the Central Government, concerned departments of the
Government of the NCT of Delhi, service providers, landowning agencies, regulators, and
local bodies among others.
The first Master Plan for Delhi was promulgated in 1962 under the Delhi Development
Act of 1957, followed by the Master Plans of 2001 and 2021, each of which is an extensive
modification of the respective previous plan document. These plans were prepared for
20 years’ perspective periods and provided a holistic framework for planned
development of Delhi.
The MPD-2041 is a ‘strategic’ and ‘enabling’ framework to guide future growth of the
city, built upon the lessons learnt from the implementation of the previous plans.

@@atharvatarthe infrastructure you talking about has been in limited places specially in hydrabad amd bengaluru. Yes obviously hydrabad is doing great . But when it comes to delhi and Kolkata , just nothing comes . Delhi has dwaraka expy and UER like projects. Their is a great working happening in kolkata North side like kalayani expressway extension, belghoria and kalayani expressway connector and durgapur expy to nh12 corridor , salt lake to New Town freeway etc. Dwaraka expressway will neutralise the delhi-gurugram expy traffic ,RRTS will be a great thing. Hmin case of hydrabad they going to build a regional ring road which will not work I think , best thing is to connect now hydrabad to other sarround cities near hydrabad. I feel sad that dynamic leader KTR looses.

Delhi is capital of India, 5th largest economy but it looks so ugly and unsystematic development. Only lutyens delhi is beautiful and systematically developed. Other parts are just so poor. We need to redevelop whole Delhi
