My most interesting F2 match while I was researching the F100. Stay fast and alert and Migs will struggle to hit you.
A key thing to remember is that subsonic performance decreases with altitude while supersonic performance increases with altitude. The smallest performance gap is at low altitude, so as a subsonic you want to bring the fight lower. The clouds at 2km probably helped keep the fight low in this match.

Anyways, my poor Tas got shafted by heavy repair costs. But man the H1 is addictive to play. Btw any video/tips on how to take on spits in a relatively slower plane with high roll rates? I'm struggling against later spits in a rolly polly fighter. I decimate them in 109s but 190s/152..im not that confident

You are faster than the 5.7 Spitfires at sea level. I wouldn't dogfight them, but use combat and takeoff flaps when you're forced to dogfight.

@@thekspguy4421 you said 'if you're carrying'. Shouldn't you always assume to be carrying the team though with the current meta? The advantages of a min fuel sabre do not outweigh the main disadvantage, ESPECIALLY with supersonics now in game.
Min fuel is enjoyable on maps like Korea due to its small size.

F-100D's M39s. Comparable to the F2's guns but with double the ammo. The Mig-19's NR-30s are great but the ammo count is horrible.

So you actually fight with a team, that does survive and is not completely brain dead... Well, since I had 10 games in a row where the team died within 7min of the game start, I would not say, that this is an accurate representation of how to deal with the Mig19 spam. Any competent Mig19 would just let you squirm on the deck and run out of fuel, since it is almost universal, that F86 always carries 8min of fuel....
Nice kills but does not show any tactic how to deal with enemy supersonics...
Eh it's much more often the supersonics that run out of fuel and get strafed.
This is the match where I saw the most Mig19s, and it wasn't mixed. It was clear to see that the F86 can't keep up with its accel, but can catch it with a smart dive. I think the footage showed a few examples of Mig19 encounters, and way more than I've had in other F86 matches in any case.
I also talk about how it's better to stay low against supersonics. Perhaps I'll do a performance video showing that.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Well, playing low is a nice sentiment. But as it only functions when the enemy makes a mistake, it is not a good approach tbh. Same reason why I dismiss the argument:"It turns better, it is better" (Not saying you use it)
Again, not sure what kind of games you play but most of the time, I just end up in a situation, that we have 2-3 subsonics getting dunked on by Mig19s with more fuel, because my 8min F86 cant land and repair, because AAA does not work at this Tier. And if the answer will be "git gud", I will lose my shit, because of course, you can influence your stupid teammates dying in a headon or due to general incompetence.

Turn is one big metric to say what is better, along with speed and climb.
I get many different matches. Do you really run out of fuel in most games? You should be loading 20 min then.

Depends. You will stop burning when there's no fuel.
Kinda what causes fires are the fuel gas inside the tank and oxygen, so if you don't have a full tank you can catch fire. But as Adam said if you get empty the fire will likely cease.
I'm not sure how Gaijin models fuel tanks, maybe carrying less fuel will completely empty some of the fuel tanks on the plane, that would prevent fires

Why do you spam the "attack enemy" and "I'm attacking this enemy" so much, it's quite annoying to listen to nevermind play with during a match
I call targets that I'm going for so that we don't all go for the same one which is inefficient.
Now you could add the J-35 Draken to the mix. It would be appropriate, as the planes were contemporaries. IRL, the J-35 first flew in 1953, and entered service in 1955, well before the F-4, and MiG-21, about the same time as the F-100.

Hey Adam, did you noticed that Gaijin raised american early jets and some props repair costs? The B29 that was last week 39k sl is now 41k, while the Tu 4 (which is a 8.0) is 31k!
The P80 (which is the jet im playing right now) got raised from 12k to 14k. The problem is: most of the players at 7.0 are still getting used to jet battle stuff, such as aiming, studying enemy planes and getting discipline with reduced ammo load and time to aim, which is my example. We still dont have that skill to make our early jets battles flow relaxing, so its common for us to accidentaly crash our planes on the ground or on an enemy plane. The frustating part is that they only raised the P80 costs, because the F84, Sabres and the Supersabre (even if they were raised too, its still ok the cost). But why only raise this way the P80? The Mig 9 is costing something around 7k and 10k, I dont remember...
B29 players are now, more than ever, sentenced to bankruptcy...
Why only American planes? Why not also German and Soviet jets?
I don't look or care about repair costs.
Perhaps it's to reduce the overcrowding in US queues.
How do you make F-2 look formidable against 10.0 Russian jets? I always end up getting blacked out and dying lol. Also, does gun convergence matter on nose mounted guns?
Haha I'm not that good in the F2 compared to props though. You need slightly better crew, patience, and strategy. Look at what the enemy is doing and what your teammates are doing, and position yourself appropriately to capitalize on distracted enemies.
Convergence still changes where the reticle is on the screen, and that matters for close up shots.
Can u make a Spitfire Mk14 vs Ta152H MER video?
I did a video on the LF Mk IX vs Ta152H. LF Mk IX has slightly better MER than Mk14 at low altitude at least, and Ta152H beats them both. You can look at my spreadsheet in the description.

No lol, I play against average pilots. What I usually show on TH-cam is in fact my team getting recked by their team, and me carrying.

Adam what are your thoughts on the Do 335 B-2? I'm currently using the Me 410 B-6/R3 and am wondering how they would compare in terms of characteristics.
It's for tank RB so lots of pulling up to avoid crashing into the ground haha.
Do335 is fine for bomber hunting, but that's not what I do. It's better than Me410 though. 410 is prob better in tank RB though, top speed isn't very useful.

Made myself a head tracking thing with 3 regular LED's i had from some toys, stamped some tape over them to difuse the light, brought the web cam contrast to 0 so it doesn't see anything but the LED's. i got the facetracknoIR for 2 bucks, bought a 10 bucks stick, and never went back to any game mode than sim. Its amazing ! Amazing I say ! And it only took me 10-20 minutes to set up and build the head track LED's. You should all try it.

Adam514 yup all the cancerous rolls and asspulling energy. Most of my kills on Sabre’s in my MiG 19 came from just energy trapping and afk’ers. So much easier for me to kill a F100

The only problem are the b29s (because they keep space climbing).
And jet games at 7.0/7.3 (for balance is ok for me).

Turn and accelerate better with less fuel, you are also less likely to rip in maneuvers with less fuel.

Tried Wyvern recently, its engine temperature got nerfed. You can't abuse WEP anymore, because if you do eventually you can't even go over 80% THR without instantly getting flashing red temperatures. It's pretty challenging now.

Why don't you extend airbrake to slow down .it's more effective than cutting throttle
It's visible to the enemy, and cutting throttle saves fuel.

You can see it if you don't focus on aiming and shooting.

Zero throttling is a bad idea in jets. Reduce to 30% at most, but going all the way to zero introduces throttle lag, as you can see with your thrust meter. Airbrakes still more effective. Just don't leave the barn doors open forever, you get too slow and mig is going to own you.

Why is it when i fly every single player on the enemy team is a god and i usually dont even get a kill, but when i watch other people flying the kills are always so easy. Like they want you to kill them but no matter what i do i always get killed

Move your cursor just ahead of the aircraft instead of far in front, you'll turn slower.
