Look it's ok for me to have a sad day, a bad day. Every once in awhile is just ok! But please let's all remember together is forever and when you start having a lot of really bad days. You have to keep a wide open heart with understanding those around you!! But the mirror is the most important thing when you need to feel better. You are first ! Your special, your a person who shares gratitude and empathy. The very most important thing to do is let your emotions be true. if it hurts then by God it hurts! And it's ok. I'm in my first 90 days of sobriety and Theo talking about him developing this mentality that he has to be perfect or no one will care about him is something I've been struggling with and I didn't realize it till he spoke on it
I also developed that mentality as a means of survival when I was a kid
And I'm sure it led to me choosing to get fucked up constantly to get passed that feeling

I start rehab Monday and watching Theo every week share his journey with us makes me believe that I have hope. Look addiction mainly is all about stigmatization. Most people are scared as hell just to even admit they have a problem because they're afraid their next-door neighbor or the guy that works up at the fucking local store or somebody else is going to say hey man this guys is a fucking junkie, an addict, a drunk, an alcoholic, a druggie, and this is where stigmas get in the way of so many people wanting to step up and say I need help I'm sick of stigmas man I hate fucking stigma stigmatization is something that has killed so many veterans because they are so worried about the way people talk. I tell you what man I'll take a whole goddamn busload of addicts that are clean and been clean and sober over any fucking any person who pitches about stigmatization. I just love the people who put them labels on you and in fact their the actual people who are fucking worse off than you! It's just as fucking easy to say I don't drink as it is to say I do drink it's just as easy to say hey man sorry I don't do cocaine but if you want to do cocaine that's your business I don't do cocaine I don't do drugs. Or hey man sure you can stop and get you as many bottles of fucking liquors you want I don't drink I don't drink. I don't do certain programs and I won't mention the I won't get into them because to me they label you an addict or an alcoholic for the rest of yourI'm sorry in my opinion and this is my opinion that's basic bulshit if you have stopped drinking and you haven't drank for five years you're no longer an alcoholic and you're no longer an alcoholic because you're cured so they can take these alcoholic titles and these fucking other titles that they place on you even after you're clean and sober. And I thank God for guys like Theo von who is a very well-known comedian who is very well off but doesn't let that shit go to his head we need more prominent people such as Theo and actors and professional athletes all these people who are serious mentors helping others!!!

I hear you Theo, remember that the perfect person doesn't exist, it's the flaws that make you unique and interesting. I have had my fair share of addiction, cptsd, unsafe attachment, and some mental twists that make growing up difficult( adhd , hsp, anxiety). I'm only 21 and learn more and more about myself every day and I know that trying to be perfect is impossible. We get through it man gang gang!

I love that Theo opens up and has his own therapeutic release. Everybody suffers in their own way and knowing that makes it easier to accept love and help. It feels so amazing to make it back from that dark place in your mind and it happens from accepting love and knowing God has your back regardless of what happens.
I can honestly say I had never heard anyone describe the Niagara Falls as a river with a mullet. But after having heard Theo say it that way, I don't think I can see it any other way for the rest of my life. LOL. Gang Gang
