    Hi Nick. Watched the video after reading the article in Today's Flyfisher.
    A great video. What size fly were you using?

      Hi Ian,
      Thanks for watching the video. I use size 10 and 12 for the pin fry CDC. Both work equally well in my experience. I hope it works for you if you can get out in time. Probably only a short spell left for pin fry now. Tight lines! - Nick.

      I guess it's kind of off topic but do anybody know a good website to watch new tv shows online ?

    Great video, any chance of a tying tutorial of the fly?

    • @FanaticalFlyFishing
      @FanaticalFlyFishing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Gary! I did not intend to video tying this one, it is very simple, just copy it from the close up of the fly on the video - Tie the CDC tuft in pointing backwards once you have tied the pearl abdomen, then create the thorax (pearl) and pull the CDC forwards over the top and whip finish. Crimson silk. Tight lines!

    You’re fish down south must weigh more than the fish up north, that 4lb was max 2lb😂

      Thanks for watching! The extremely wide angle lens on the Go-Pro can distort the perspective of the view. I can assure you that fish was closer to 4lbs than 2lbs. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the article and tight lines!

    Four pound fish my arse,,2.5 at a push

      Just seen your message - don't know how I missed it. 4 lbs all day long - but you're entitled to your opinion though, even though you didn't take into account the wide angle lens distorting the view and perspective of the shot

    Can you tie this pattern please?

    • @FanaticalFlyFishing
      @FanaticalFlyFishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Trevor, thanks for the comment. I don't tend to do many fly tying videos as there are so many other good tyers on TH-cam. Meantime, this fly is available commercially through Flash Attack Flies. Thanks again - Nick.

    What reel do you use?

    • @FanaticalFlyFishing
      @FanaticalFlyFishing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ben, thanks for watching! I use a "Loop Evotech LW" reel. I am not sure they are available any more sadly. It is the most reliable reel I have ever used and I have had them for more than 10 years now.
