For the Sol system, sure. Orbital period decreases the closer a star is the galactic center. A stable star orbiting the Sagittarius-A* Black hole at the center of the Milky Way, S2 only takes 16 Years. This could be considered a "First Star", visible to any star faring race, and would make a fine universal clock.
Neutron stars/pulsars were observed and studied before black holes were validated. The Voyager records included a map of Earth’s location in the galaxy relative to 14 pulsars. Some pulsars are quite consistent, approaching atomic clocks, and likely more consistent than the variability of a star’s orbit around Sagittarius A*. Perhaps selecting a particularly accurate pulsar (or the average of a number of them) could be used to develop a multiple of its period to define galactically(sp?) agreed-upon time divisions. I guess you could also use the speed of light to define a mutually understood time system too. Plus a galactic rotation is an extremely large period to use for general time keeping.
I stand by my comment - with the proviso that no Species (assuming they arise on a Planet) is going to initially base its 'year' upon observations of 'A stable star orbiting the Sagittarius-A* Black hole at the centre of the Milky Way'. Within a Galactic Community it'd probably take centuries of study, meetings and negotiations to 'define' a 'Year' that'd be observed across multiple species, living probably, hundreds if not thousands of Light Years apart. FFS - this Planet alone can't decide whether to use the Metric or Imperial systems of measurement....
Great story! Always be careful about considering someone else "inferior". Those "inferior" people have a way of turning around and biting you on the ass.
You know next to nothing about another species and already laugh and dismiss them. That proved a bad idea, didn't it? All those on that consil lost their shirts in the bet they made about the humans.
Perfect synchronicity? I find that unlikely. 8 eyes and you blink them all at once? Evolutionary flaw that would be corrected by natures predators. Otherwise why have 8. 2 is all thats required for depth perception after all. JS. Thank you though, still enjoy these types of stories
I have no idea why i keep clicking on these. They're all exactly the same. Humans are great because reasons bro.. Probably got half a dozen accounts the same as this one just pumping out the same derivative garbage for clicks.
There was like 2 or 3 but when mine started getting views I had people steal my videos and use them as thier own taking credit so if you see or hear the same stories let me know.
Lol everyone always see it is left or right see I don't think about that when writing a story is a story nothing to do with what is happening in the world that is why they are not all one side or the other the are just the stories and that's it.
Just because I say another planet is dying and we help them has nothing to do with what's going on in our world but not all of my stories are one way or the other I don't trust or belive either side. I post daily subscribe im sure there will be a few that is not WOKE as you would say but from the person who writes the stories they are not one way of the other I do not agree or except either side I only go by the facts not emotions.
A 'Galactic Rotation' is approximately 225 million years... so only a Sucker would take that bet.

@@LThorsen78 definitely not 10 years though

@@LThorsen78 u might want to recheck your facts as you are 100% wrong on that 16 years. it is in fact 225 million years

That’s because they’re so low. Hahaha. You set that one up. Ha ha ha

"Oh yeah? Your mom!"

Humans always showing up and being the heroes of the entire galaxy
I believe that's the point of these HFY stories. "Humans Fxxk Yeah" apparently.
You know next to nothing about another species and already laugh and dismiss them. That proved a bad idea, didn't it? All those on that consil lost their shirts in the bet they made about the humans.
Calm down; it's a fictional story. Not even science involved.
Space America brought freedom to the galaxy with bombs
Hell yeah
Is there another way?
Why do I hear 'AMERICA FUK YEAH!!!' playing in the background
“History is written by the victors.”
Not enough challenge. The humans just win every conflict because protagonist.

Is this the opinions of the npcs of a modded stellaris playthrough?
Stellaris is a great game.
Interesting...
Original source? Is this tale from the Reddit?
No they are all mine.
@@ALLSciFi88 What shame. I prefer to read instead of hearing a story.

Spiders?
@@nobillismccaw7450 Spiders don't blink
Well they may have developed eyelids for any number of reasons and the ability to shut them all at once is useful as a reflex.
@@ozramblue117 They may have also developed strip clubs, but I'm gonna have to say they probably didn't.
Same with the eyelids.
Funny how some think they're smarter than evolution. Especially when we're talking about exobiology!

It's a refreshing change from all the angsty, whiney "humans suck" sort of stuff that seems to rule too many social media platforms. ;-)
