In a sea of blatant shockfic/crackfic, I can somehow perfectly tell that the guy who wrote Patrick/Harley Quinn one is dead serious. Also the MLP/TMNT one. Shipping the casts of those shows is oddly popular.
If you look at the description of the fic it says that it's specifically the 2012 nickelodeon versions of the turtles. They're 15 years old in that one...
About the tmnt/mlp one…yea I shipped a few when I was 7-9. My go to ships were Twilight x Donatello and Sunset x Raphael(these were exclusively mlp:eg and tmnt2012) tbh, don’t know why I didn’t ship pinkie x Michelangelo..idk fam just didn’t sit right. Also unrelated but back in 4th grade i shipped MYSELF with Donnie, Leo and Ralph(damn r.i.p Mikey)and I would imagine funny love square scenario’s with them. He literally always wears a swimsuit in case he gets the chance to swim. When the pool in his school was fixed he jumped inside to swim even though the temperature wasn't regulated yet and the water inside was freezing cold. It's canon, the abridged series just reinforced it. (I might be mixing both the abridged series with the original, since it's been a while since watching both, but I'm pretty sure what I said is correct. Remember that in the abridged series they can't animate new scenes, and I'm pretty sure that aquarium scene happened.)
