Neo Granzon creates black holes via the taking of large amounts of baryonic matter and compressing it until its Schwarzschild radius exceeds its actual radius. It acquires the necessary mass by absorbing baryons from the ether using the halo on its back. The Degeneration Cannon/Shukutaihou functions by discharging all of the stored baryonic matter in the halo, and via degenerative pressure causes it to become a supernova that collapses into a black hole.
The Schwarzschild radius is the radius of a sphere, where the combination of its mass and density means that its escape velocity is the speed of light. Because not even light can escape it, it is no longer visible. This is a black hole, in essence, a deformation of spacetime. The Schwarzschild radius of an object is proportional to its mass; despite it's enormous size to us, the Earth's is a mere 9 millimeters. And the vast Milky Way galaxy, over 100,000 light years in diameter, has a Schwarzschild radius of less than 0.2ly.
The black holes used during Black Hole Cluster have Schwarzchild radii on the quantum scale and are sheathed in a special gravitational field, allowing them to be launched at the enemy. The Granzon/Neo Granzon do not need to "fly" in the conventional sense, as the orbs on its limbs allow it to manipulate the vector of gravity in relation to itself. In essence, the Granzon can simply "fall" in whichever direction it chooses and attain acceleration by altering its own mass and the strength of the gravity acting upon it. The orblike apertures on the shoulders generate the Distortion Field, a force field that warps the vectors of any kinetic force acting upon it, harmlessly dispersing the energy.
I love how when he fires the universe destroyer it looks like he's god firing it from the heavens while the other guy looks like hes in hell with the red battered ground before being obliterated. Also how the music matches the attack perfectly.
And knowing him, HE DID THAT PURPOSEFULLY.

I think the addition of the guitar to his theme shows that he's completely unchained at this point - beholden to no one except himself, and free to act as he wishes. It's good to know that he's ultimately a decent person at heart, if a little aloof and cynical.

No. Neo Granzon is ordinarily a Granzon which is empowered by tapping into the powers of the god of destruction Volkruss via the Mahākāla System. But Shuu was able to successfully analyze the system, and is now able to activate the transformation to Neo Granzon without being connected to Volkruss.

That reminds me... In the last episodes from the Spider Man cartoon from the 90s. Spider Carnage developed a gravity bomb, which didn't just destroy the universe but the multiverse as well.
It took the Beyounder all of his power to revert time back and assemble a army of spider mans to take care of Spider Carnage before he finishes the bomb.

Formerly evil. he betrayed the god he was forced to serve by dying. All according to Shu's plan.
Evil? No. He essentially gave in to Volkruss' temptation in a moment of despair, and then spent years trying to get killed so he could get out of the deal.
And as of Dark Prison, he's no longer tied to Volkruss, and has apparently figured out how to use Neo Granzon without relying on the dark god's power. Heck, he even USED Neo Granzon to destroy him.
Neo Granzon doesn't fight its enemies. It executes them. For a fight to happen, the enemy has to stand a chance in hell of retaliation, and how the hell do you even start to fight THAT?!
As a reminder, you beat the Neo Granzon at the end of OGG. It's not like it's unbeatable.
Chen Gong I'm afraid I didn't get a chance to play OGG yet. Nor Dark Prison for that matter. What does it take to bring down Neo Granzon? What level of force has to be brought against it? I'd assume it's basically a tremendously huge cannon in the shell of a relatively tough robot, but who is brought against it at the end of OGG?
Judging just by what I'm seeing here and on SRW Wiki, Neo Granzon is a Type V weapon on the Kardashev scale, meaning that it can harness the raw power of not just its own universe but other universes. If Neo Granzon didn't create the pocket universe, it seems the Degenerative Cannon would obliterate its own universe. That level of power puts it in the top range of mecha power scales, if not fictional power scales period.
This thing is BEASTLY.
The Silvered Phoenix It's easier to beat than Dark Brain was, and according to Dark Prison, Masaki got the kill so to speak.
Chen Gong Cosmo Nova is an acceptable offense too. Fair enough.

Keep in mind that Shu on some level wanted to lose to the steel dragons in the final OGG battle because at that point he was basically Volkross' puppet (to him a fate worse than death), and OG:DP starts with Masaki striking the final blow as Shu smiles

I have come to a conclusion regarding repeated uses of Shukutaihou, under the presumption that it IS a universe-buster...
With every use, Shuu destroys the present universe (shortly before entropy reaches maximum there) that he pulls himself and any target(s) to via wormhole (can target any point in space, time, and theoretically reality), but a new one is born in its place (a Big Bang in miniature).
Thus (mostly) avoiding the sheer horror of Neo-Granzon annihilating a universe with every use; instead, each time he 'summons' himself and the targets to said newly-created universe as that one is about to die out, carrying out a twisted form of destruction leading to creation.
Would the Einsts be impressed, proud, horrified, or all of the above? Beowulf often ranted about how (souzou) 'creation'/'rebirth' and (hakai) 'destruction'/'death' were one and the same.
If Dio piloted the Neo Granzon he'd be the master of time AND space!

He made Chika in order to use an Elemental Lord should he be able to hijack one for himself. However, he found Chika to be so incredibly annoying, so he ditched that whole plan solely because he didn't want TWO Chikas bothering him.

They're not just black holes - they're black holes with exposed singularities. The Degeneration Cannon is essentially dividing the result of zero divided by zero...by zero.

Guren Lagann will stand a good chance against Neo Granzon though. While both mechs possession strength that can destroy the world easily. Guren Lagann (mainly Lagann) has unlimited evolve potential. Neo Granzon wise despite its ridiculous engine, it is still an earth built real robot. Meaning it is just an oversized Huckebein. In short the Degeneration can cause big damage to GL but in turn Neo Granzon itself probably can’t get touched by GL at all. This is well demonstrated in game though. Friendly Neo Granzon in OG is possibly one of the best strikers in team but it is never meant to tank a lot of damages due to its mediocre armor and mobility.
A shame the previous upload was removed, Shu's quotes vs. Volkruss are amazing.

Granzon is the reason the initial huckebein project went to smoke. Not because its implausible, but because huckebeins are made with human materials and not durable enough for a black hole engine. Granzon is made in la gias and if i do recall, seems to be like cybuster, a god machine so it can defy normal conventions such as durability and energy consumption. Also speaking if energy consumption, if i do recall, granzon has a prana converter so shu can turn himself into a battery for granzon

I find it strange how almost everyone gets the Gravitron Cannon's name wrong. Even OGMD's translation also does that (though mistranslations are a norm in OGMD).
