LOVING the opportunity to use up some of this ✨ stunning ✨ gold origmi paper trying out Jo Nakashima’s Origami Sun!
This video isn’t meant to be instructional so you can see Jo’s tutorial video here () if you want to make it yourself, he makes it super clear and concise to understand but it is an intermediate level piece so you might want to start with some of his beginner tutorials if you’re new to origami.
My video is more of a platform to appreciate the art of origami as a beautifully ful tactile practice. It gave me the chance to use the gold foil paper and a Japanese wooden folder. I picked both of these up in Tokyo a couple of years ago and I’d never found a use for the gold paper until I saw Jo’s video and new exactly what video I was making next!

Isn’t it! It’s just a gold origami paper I bought cut to size, unfortunately the packaging didn’t say what the paper type was. I’m sure you can buy gold metallic papers from Shepherds Paper Store though!
