    Oikawa's arc is basically, "I'm not as skilled as kageyama, but I can make our team way better without needing to do any of his crazy sets(because I can't)" to this episode where he does a super crazy set to iwaizumi almost on instinct, choosing his best friend when he could've set it easily to the right side hitter

    That last point was breathtaking. The intensity throughout this entire episode was unreal.

    The ost during the last ralley is called something like 6 vs 6. during the ralley all 6 players from each team atleast touched the ball once, wich is a pretty cool detail from the creator.

    11:44 Kageyama is naturally more talented than Oikawa. Right now, Oikawa is a better setter than Kageyama because of his experience and skills. But in terms of natural ability for a setter, Kageyama is a genius. Oikawa is a great setter, but he's not genius level.

    I think this episode really solidified Oikawa as my favourite because he is just a slightly above average guys with a passion who despite wanting to become the best has always been faced by passionate guys who are born genius. Because at the end of the day imagining it's like a gacha game if Oikawa is an SR+ card Kageyama and Ushijima are SSR+ ones, no matter how hard you want to level him up and how much earlier you started doing so at some point he is limited he can't go past level 80 where as they are bound to get to level 100 sooner or later. He had to come to conclusion with that, accept it and find another way to fight, by becoming such an amazing setter than he can buff his team to the max and I respect that it must be devastating to know you'll never be as good as you want at something you love more than anything while some people might not even love it as much can (and in the case of Tobio it's even worse because he does love it as much and can attain this level Oikawa will never be able to)

    Oikawa is better at the moment for his abilities to bring out the best potential out of his team also with his great skill. Kageyama is a genius who had everything, almost the best in the prefecture. But has to learn more about team dynamics. And yeah though Oikawa has two years of experience ahead, Kageyama still can keep up almost head to head.

    if you want to know more about the deeper philosophy of the most important characters, you can do so at UCPo_JiFc0u8q3ThH-ZJz-XQ, although he does explain with spoilers, so may be watch his videos later. As for Oikawa freeing out, it's because he's TOO ordinary, just a normal man amongst monsters like Ushiwaka, Kageyama and Hinata for example. But his philosophy is to keep pushing forward to get what he most desires, which is playing good volleyball and make it far.

    • @kronikevaporation6007
      @kronikevaporation6007 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's really not.
      Recieveing is a common trait. You think it's foreshadowing when Nishinoya does great recieves? Its not, it's just something you have to be good at if you want to excel as a player.

    • @ronelgerromdecastro8894
      @ronelgerromdecastro8894 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@kronikevaporation6007 Yes, I totally understand your point. But the thing is Nishinoya is a libero; him being a great receiver is already a given. While, Iwa is an ace spiker. In Haikyuu, you wouldn't expect someone who excels at attacks receive perfect hits like a libero. In S2E24, Iwa managed to save the ball from Yamaguchi's serve and Asahi's spike in one rally.
      Over the course of the first three seasons, Hinata was always only about hitting spikes. Sure he did some miraculous saves and some blocks but defense was not really his thing. Watching Iwa do both-an ace playing attack and defense-I think, has also influenced Hinata in some way.

      @@ronelgerromdecastro8894 receiving is an extremely important skill, so I don't think it's unusual for players to practice it a lot. No matter how skilled your libero is, they can't possibly do it all by themselves
