- My flight from Windhoek, Namibia, back to Frankfurt, Germany, with Air Namibia flight SW285 on Sep. 28/29th, 2017. This daily service is flown with an Airbus A330-200, registered as V5-ANO. My seat was 31K in economy class and the seat next to me remained empty. Characteristic for Windhoek airport is that all passengers have to walk from or to the aircraft - which can be fascinating in the dark. Ich fliege jedes Jahr nach Namibia und bin jedesmal von neuem begeistert von allem was auf dem Weg passiert. Auch wenn es sich komisch anhört,ich könnte mein ganzes Leben lang nur fluegen weshalb ich auch Flugbegleiter werden möchte! Ich liebe am meißten wenn man morgens in Windhoek landet und die Sonne gerade aufgeht oder man kurz vor der Landung aus dem Fenster schaur und all die Planzen und so weiter sieht😍
Ich habe 45 Jahre in Namibia gelebt, bin nun leider wieder in Deutschland aus gesundheitlichen Gründen. Ich wünsche mir, dass Air Namibia die Corona Krise überlebt, bin allerdings nur mäßig optimistisch.
Corona wurde überlebt, Korruption leider nicht...

We need more comprehensive and positive reviews on this airline. Other reviewers like simply aviation, non stop dan, Sam chui dont even have reviews on Air Namibia.

I surprise that Air Namibia fly to Germany and europe. Air Zimbabwe was last time flying to Europe back in 1990s.(shrugs)

What is Windhoek, Swakomund and Walvis Bay like in June / July / August ? Is it a good time to visit ?
August is the best time for EU citizens. Though the months of November/December as well. These are in the peak seasons. Though its sunny all year round.
Swakopmund can get a bit chilly first thing in the morning with a mist as well
That is the best time to visit - in their winter time.
(Summer time, end and beginning of the year, can be as hot as hell, and is the rain season in Windhoek.)
