'In Agamemnon we mind nothing. She is the finest ship I ever sailed in...' (Captain Horatio Nelson, 1795). This Agamemnon was a 64 gun ship of the line which became one of the most famous ships of the Royal Navy. She was commanded by Nelson between 1793 and 1796, he always referred to her as his favourite ship. Among her many battle honours she served at Trafalgar. She was eventually wrecked in South American waters in 1809 in Maldonado Bay, off the coast of present day Uruguay after 28 years of service. Nice review Jason, it looks like a good kit. Built her sister Lord Nelson as my first 1/350 she didn’t turn out the best at the time. Been meaning to get this girl to compare to how I have improved. Thanks for the impression sir. Have good day and Godspeed
That's so crazy I've just ordered this ship dor the very same job before I even watched this video! I'm going to model it with the tripods from the pegasus tripods attack kit which is sat in my stash. I may even try adding some lights for the heat ray etc.
One of the reasons she and her sister ship were completed after dreadnought was both ships had a lot of their armament diverted to dreadnought, Also Dreadnaught was built super fast. The British were in a race against the US and Japanese to build the first all big gun battleship

I have purchased the Lord Nelson which seems identical and haven't had a look at yet so this was very interesting and helpful,great stuff so thanks for posting. The Thunderchild project sounds fascinating, looking forward to seeing that
Another thorough review, well presented Jason! It seems to be an involving and 'busy' build for a ship smaller than a modern destroyer. Good enough quality and PE selection in there. One could build a decent mini collection with this, HMS Dreadnought and KGV. As for the name, it's a Greek bloke's name from Homer's Iliad translated to English so I'll give them a pass. As a side note, Hobbyboss and Trumpeter have a very good spare parts service! Keep up the good work!
But command of English isn't necessary, Agamemnon is a character from the Greek "Trojan Wars" Greek would have helped Hobby Boss better. You should see how a Hasegawa model misspelled the U.S.S. Pennsylvania in the SOC Seagull kit.
