I feel like what could've made it better is if they had Reccardi direct it instead of Camp because it probably would've had the same energy as Hermit Ren. Plus there are a lot of places where you can see Bob's own drawing style from direction clash with Reccardi's style from the storyboards and it ends up lookin sloppy (namely when Ren explains his story like 2:44 and 2:55)
Well ...mel blanc voiced half of the Looney tunes, and Seth MacFarlane voiced 4 of his own characters maybe more. Tara Strong..I seen her in the credits in a lotta cartoons..it's one man/girl vocal band
Maybe that's the pun. Ren was put in a unit with people who inflict harm..like himself, and this revelation shocked them. Now I am curious as to how violent offenders would respond.
I know people say they like this episode because of how disturbing it is, but how does it compare to to an episode like Stimpy’s Fan Club which had an equally disturbing but memorable scene.
@@terranceaddison4599 I have seen an ova anime from the 90's and 80's. but this cartoon should not be shown to children or anyone of a specific age. why was this allowed on tv anyway.
I’m a registered nurse and have worked in many settings, psychiatry being one. And I can say that Mudskippers deflection to Yak was spot. On. Classic.
Man, oh Man!
Bob and Jim’s writing, Reccardi’s drawings, and Harris Peet & Billy West’s voice acting are the highlights of this episode

Ren Needs Help > Ren "Seeks" Help.
Still ren seeks has better visuals
What's amazing about this scene is that Billy West voiced all the characters.
I met him at a convention.
Awesome.@@orangeslash1667

Jon Kricfalusi is Ren
WOW,. even Dr. Sloth is scared of Ren. lol
It's one thing about the patients, but yeah...I expected some resilience from him. That is kinda strange given the setting..
@@terranceaddison4599 yes
"I was trying to discuss his problem with the word " cheeeeese"." "Noooo! He did it!" "There he goes!" 😂
No I’ve heard that he was just like "Woooooooow!"
Now if they had put Ren in with the violent patients.

You know you have problems with even the crazies are weirded out by you
So you smack someone and you’re immediately a threat?
At least none of them are abusers of any kind.

I thought it would have been better if Ren Hoek mentioned that Stimpy was his best friend, and everyone would have been appalled by that instead

What's tragic is that.. little does he know that'll be the last time he'll see him again..
This cartoon is disgusting and disturbing at the same time.
