I think the Belgian army had a lot of issues with the stock latches breaking on the original rifles. The double latch probably came about due to that. I’m pretty sure that the non reciprocating charging handle came from the SOCOM program as Americans have this think about having to be able to have a way to force a weapon into battery. Same reason why the SIG MCX had to have a bolt assist button and the M16A1 and on had one. Really though I think if a weapon isn’t going into battery you’d be best to just rack it again and if it still won’t close take steps to figure out why rather than forcing a round into battery and risking a torn case head or some other stoppage that is going to take the rifle out of action for a long time.

Short Answer - AK-74M best russian assault rifle that combat tested in Ukraine. It's the same AK-74 but lighter, more durable and had folding stock. Absolute weapon for any soldier in any country. And from AK-74M you can make better Ak-12 that real Ak-12. Just buy Magpul parts. I guess russians will never make better 5.45 weapon than AK-74M but now they developing AK-22 with new 6.02x41 ammo.

@@rinaldoman3331 All of them get the job done... it's like dirt bikes from major manufacturers - it's 20% the bike and 80% the rider. Expect in this case it would be 50% luck, 45% the user and 5% the rifle. If it can hold enough rounds, can hold zero, has select fire, can mount optics, and is reasonably accurate and reliable then its good enough. Almost all service rifles in the world can fill these criteria, so honestly I have difficulties to understand why people fetishize over them so much.
For example I know Finnish volunteers who were issued stock M4s in Ukraine described them as flimsy and toy like compared to RK-62 and RK-95. In field conditions they had to be cleaned more often than RKs back home. However they still got the job done like any other rifle. They are tools. If you can turn the screw and do it over and over again, fundamentally it does not matter what your screwdriver is like.

I've only just come across your channel. I'm quite surprised by this review. From what I've heard from online, the SCAR L is not very reliable. The H version is meant to be more reliable, hence why its more popular. I'm looking forward to seeing more videos like this in the future 🙂
