This is nice 👍 good and excellent job on my 3rd favorite train the Amtrak and plus the new color too WOW wow 😳😮 totally awesome red white and the stars on the engine to the coaches as well WOW even new ones too. But I did notice the red car is that dinner car or the kitchen car for the chiefs and the cooks to fixed the food for the passengers? Any it is a nice car on the Amtrak. Good excellent job 👍👏 keep up the good excellent 👌👍 work sincerely Christopher wright. If you are curious what is my first and second favorite train. Well that is the bullet train from Japan. That is cool fastest train that Japan made, and my second favorite train is the big boy. Biggest toughest fast steam engine. So cool and I am happy that the big boy is back, and running again too. Such big beautiful steam the big boy. 4 contrail Big Blue diesel engine and the blue coobse too my favorite color, and the last one is the Santa Fe red and silver diesel engine and the red coobse as well to. Blue and yellow Santa Fe wow i didn't know that there is that kind of Santa Fe until I got it nice engine and coobse as well. So there you go my top 5 favorite trains.
Considering AMTRAK was essentially created with the expectation that it would fail in a decade, it genuinely makes me proud to have such a thing in a country where anything nationalized is called communism. Even through all its problems amtrak still manages to do a good job
They’re used as additional power, as well as one engine being used to pull the train, and the second one to handle all of the train’s power electrical needs. You’ll normally see Amtrak use 2 trains on long distance routes.
If I ever travel to the Carolinas again, it will definitely be by Amtrak. Anything to avoid Greyhound. I hate Greyhound. The extra money will be worth it.
Great video, Andrew! You had a good variety of Amtrak trains in this video from around the Chicago area. You also included some Amtrak trains in Georgia and Florida.
I could watch this all day
This is a great video. Variety is the spice of life, including railroad routes, equipment, operations, and scenery.

As a European I still don’t get it why you need 2 locos in front of a 10 car train
