    Hi, thank you so much for this video! I am a Belgian music teacher and I would love to add subtitles for my students, but I can't, I think you blocked the option that others can add subtitles. Would you agree to make it possible for me to add Dutch subtitles? Thank you in advance!

    Can we double check on tango music and the sound of the BANDONEON? Not that I know much about it, but it will be nice to avoid confusion. Well, most of it is confusing anyway.

      because it isn’t africans😂🤣 Tango was made by the poor argentine, yes slaves ship were in sail near Argentina but Argentina didn’t like the idea of slavery cause a lot of europeans were coming in for jobs and resurrection of life. It was consider “influenced by africans” cause a lot of poor europeans would teach slaves which became what called Tango now. Bouldo learn your history before talking

    There’s something historically wrong, Inmigrants were not disappointed at all they lived in slumps because of starting a new life, not because of no-opportunities and indeed there was a lot of opportunities and because of that they continued to comming. They lived in poor conditions just like in nyc… because they were starting a new life.

    why are there no black people depicted if you're clearly mentioning africans and also not mentioning that they were not "immigrants" ?

    • @Theumar-q7p
      @Theumar-q7p 4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Bcos it was all a concocted bullshit story from a country with a long history of Whitewashing. Nothing Eurocentric about the name Tango itself. The name is African in origin, hence the dance.

    • @jtabbott3449
      @jtabbott3449 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They also talked about how immigration to argentina was spanish colonization?

    • @Stgfre
      @Stgfre 3 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      The black population was not a significant population group. Their is a movement to attempt to rewrite the history of Uruguay and Argentina. the reason because these nations violate people's preconception, about what Uruguay, Argentina's racial makeup,, and South Americans in general. Uruguay and Argentina are white majority nations. In Uruguay it is only 2 percent, and in Argentina is almost approximately 1 percent. The claim that Uruguay and Argentina had a significant population is an over exaggerated, and they invented Tango is a false claim.

      @@Stgfre The percentage of Africans does not minimize the origin of Tango within the poor African and poor Spanish communities. Africans have always been a minority in such places..this does not minimize their influence in the tango as we know it today.

    • @Stgfre

      @@DeeDee-hx1km Africans have no influence in Tango. this is an attempt to deny the European influence in Uruguay and Argentina, because it violates the presumptuous notion that there are no Caucasians in South America.

    Well that was a white wash of the tango. Even skipping over that it was originally created and done by men dancing together so they could go to dance halls and attract women. But since there were so few women, the men would live together and practice together to the point they can both lead and follow.

    • @Stgfre
      @Stgfre 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That was for practice or rehersal purposes. The purpose of tango was to dance with women. In society men always conduct actions together.
