A Flight To Lundy Island

This video shows the final leg of the the journey, from Belle Vue airfield (Near Great Torrington North Devon) to Lundy Island. The journey started earlier in the day from Roddige airfield Staffordshire. Flown in my Pegasus XL-Q Microlight. Six brave pilots made the trip, or should I say Mad Pilots? A great adventure!

Nice video again Phil! I understand its a nice flight but a bumpy field,
our who went 2009. Do they let you in pub with a Mobile phone these days?? Odd eh!?

Its a great place to fly in to, but you are right the field is a bit rough! Still cant use mobiles in the pub with notices warning of a £1 fine for offenders, not such a bad thing really.

Great video. Was the return leg lots of circling Lundy to gain height before committing to the crossing? I'm based in Devon so a flexwing jaunt to Lundy might be on the cards one day!

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, when I departed Lundy I circled the Island a couple of times to climb to approx 4000 feet before coasting out back to the mainland. Would definately recommend a flight to this beautiful Island.
