It's not great to force it down as an overly depressed larynx can sound bad too. The idea is more to keep it relaxed and floating and not grab the notes with your throat ( "raised" tense larynx).

great coach! and the student progresses fast. Another year or year and a half, that student will really know how to sing like an angel.

In these exercises the soft palate rised because the larynx goes down when you sing❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
