This is so powerful in speaking to addiction... The version of how you are in reality, versus how you can feel in your head - or at least this is my take on it. And then just seeing how it's still you regardless; you're just left to look at this one part of you (like at the end of the video) and you see they're a mess, and then you realize it's just you. I feel like that's where it becomes a turning point. I know you write a lot about drinking (I do, too). It's a painful place to be when everyone else doesn't understand and it's fun for them (like at dinner parties - in the music video you had water and they all had alcohol). Insanely powerful video!

There was a time, 30 years ago, teenager, huddled up behind my mattress...people lighting pillows and sheets on fire and throwing them down at the guards. The guards had a cure for that, didn't matter if you were laying on your bunk reading a book, blocking out 4 stories of people yelling like fools, you padded yourself in the corner cause that fire hose hurt.
