@@EkoJahLamelo ball was going to the league regardless, he was too talented not to, Australia helped him get picked higher but he was NBA bound regardless he wasn’t gonna be a g-league guy. No disrespect but Liangelo is nowhere close.
@@EkoJahPlease stop, his rookie year in australia was just him playing on the NBL's worst team and being very inefficient. Lamelo is my favorite player but his stay in australia wasn't the game changer, he was a top 3 pick regardless of the path he could've gone to college and put up much better numbers and still be drafted top 3.
@@rfmmike6096 First of all, any NBL team is a professional & competitive environment. Secondly, being on the worst team is exactly what he needed. Having that primary offensive creator role on a professional team is MUCH more similar to the NBA. Going to college would hinder him, forcing him to adapt to the college style of play & full obedience to the coach. Illawarra Hawks prepared him to be the current Charlotte Hornets franchise player.
I like the guys sitting there are encouraging both teams. After all they are kids and people forget that

LaMelo Ball nah u were there in 2019
No, I'm here in 2023.
Nah 2023
Melo a smart player fr, he do a lot of good things on the court, the reality is that he wasn't busted end he prove that now in the nba
Going pro in Australia made the difference. Otherwise he'd be in a Liangelo Ball situation - stuck in the G-League
