Poison ivy, go to the dollar store and buy a container with a screw on lid. Mix 1 part dawn dish soap with water, then add a 1/2 cup of alchol into the mix, out a wash cloth in it and when you think you have got into it wash the area, works like a charm.
Nice to see a landscaper actually pull out the tall weeds instead of just mowing over them which causes razor sharp spikes for people to step on. You hardly ever see someone go to this trouble. You Definitely earn a star and a subscription from me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes I thoroughly agree with that exclamation point because it's then only the grass that's going to grow and not the weeds which grow taller than everything grow all over again Do you have to check with a local community police or something before you do a home that's vacant? I wondered that about all these wonderful people like you including you that clean up homes that they don't own. Is anybody allowed to do that or do you have to have a cleared by the police or somebody question mark I'm just curious. You did a really good job and if I were your mother I would be so so proud of you. Sometimes it's people's ill-health or not having money to be able to do it who knows you have done a good thing and God bless you for it in Jesus name amen and may God keep you protected as you do this and all these other people that do these things too in Jesus name amen!! ❤😊
@@TKLawns - I think mowing over them might also have spread the seeds/spores to other people's yards. At least they seemed to come out fairly easily, roots & all!
Also by pulling up the weeds you get the roots, which means they won’t be coming back and good healthy grass can grow. However, there are some weeds they need to just mow over because they would be there all year and healthy grass will crowd out the weeds and save the worker’s backs. Just sayin’.
I love watching you transform these really over grown lawns to a respectable lawn. Can you do me a favor and please wear gloves when you're picking up trash because you just never know. Thank you and keep up your good work
I have a Hula Hoe. You can get anywhere from about $20. It is so much easier to use than having to bend up and down multiple times. I am lucky to just pull one weed! LOL
Truly a wonderful job! What sets you apart from most is you didn't just hack it down. You were organized about how you approached the yard going way above and beyond by picking up the trash not throwing all the edging into the yard, picking out those tall weeds. So many I watch mow them over and it looks like crap. You are great at what you do and applaud you for giving back to the community
I wish you would wear gloves and face mask for protection. Unlike the other channels, I love that you bag the debris instead of blowing it back into the grass. GREAT JOB!!
You should receive recognition from your city for cleaning up properties one at a time. It is a lot of work. Thank you from California for your kindness❤😊
At the very least they should reimburse him for gas and time. It’s ridiculous that the city doesn’t keep these properties mowed at least. Thank you so much, Tucker, for all that you do! You are a blessing from God to so many people….those in your city and so many of us who watch your videos for various reasons!!
Tucker what you did for that neighborhood was so nice! The house was uninhabitable, but the clean up of the yard will help keep mice and such away for the neighbors. The neighbors will feel better without such an overgrown yard around them. It was nice of the neighbors who came out to talk to you. The difference you made was night and day. You worked so hard on that yard! You went the extra mile to pull up the tall stalks by hand. Thank you for being a good person and helping others out.
Boy, you are watching those Australian guys too much and believe me that is a compliment. You are so thorough and meticulous and even for an abandoned house. You got me right when you picked up the yard trash instead of just b😊lowing it in the yard. I am very impressed. Besides I love your dog too much to stop watching. This is the first of your videos I have watched but I guarantee it won’t be the last. God bless you my friend.
This is a great thing you did, because there’s no possibility of compensation from the city, but maybe if somebody in her family is still alive they may come to take care of it and take it up the project to fix it up, you’re a special man
Great job !! Nice to see someone actually remove the trimmings and edgings instead of just throwing them up on the yard then mowing over it leaving big clumps of dead areas on lawns their all to in a hurry to make a video to actually make the yard look good. Again great job 👏 😊
Another GREAT job TK❤ you went way beyond on this one!! You work so hard on this transformation.. pulling all that by hand .. picking up all that garbage ..just be careful 😊 I look forward for all your videos.. Love from Louisville Kentucky
Another amazing job, Tucker! I appreciate that you’re willing to pull those tree-sized weeds by hand, to rake up yard waste, and remove all of that trash. Thanks for the hard work!
Good job! Pulling all those weeds by hand was a lot harder- but definitely better and they won’t grow back as plentiful! I like when people do things the right way- even if it’s harder and no real reward!
Huge appreciation for pulling those tall weeds in the lawn! 🙌🌿 It’s incredible how they comprised maybe 80% of the yard. Now, with that awesome cleanup transformation, lawn mowing looks so much better! 🌟🌱 Awesome job!
Wow! Great clean up! My first reaction was, "where ARE your gloves!?! 🤔 I was so glad to see you put them on before pulling the weeds! After you pulled all the large weeds, it looked SO much better. I was so impressed with your detail and job! ❤❤💯
Sad to see a house ruined like that. Great job of cleaning the garden plus the driveway. Glad the neighbours appreciated what you did. Only North America has poison ivy we have ivy that climbs everywhere ❤❤Pauline. Wiltshire 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Tucker, glad you pulled those tall weeds out by the root. Just mowing over them allows them to grow back again. I always pull mine. They spread fast too if they’re not removed. I see there was a fire there, thus the not fit for habitation sign. So glad you put gloves on! Maybe some eye protection when you’re cutting branches overhead. Maybe next time you can use your mower to stand on to reach the vines growing on the side of the house and roof. Excellent job!
Good you pulled those up. I had a few giant tree weeds in my yard one year and I mowed them over. Next spring I had a hundred. So I pulled them up thinking I had just helped them spread. Sure enough no more tree weeds!
The yard looks great! The city really should step in and seize properties like this. They are the ones with the means to tear down and haul off these houses then resale the lot to recoup the cost.
Great job, Tucker! "Pulling weeds" was something I heard (and did!) a lot in my youth, not so much after home string trimmers gained in popularity. But there's really no better way, other than chemicals, from discouraging their growing back. AND, I don't know whether to call those things you pulled weeds or root vegetables! Dang, son, great job!
Well I’m impressed. That’s hard work pulling the weeds but it makes it look a whole lot better! Great job! Thank you for your kindness and for sharing the transformation with us. 🤗~Becka
If you aren't sure about if a plant is poison ivy, you can always do a search on your phone for images to compare. If you are using your phone for filming, try printing off some color images to keep in your truck.
I was armchair lawn caring about trimming the tree branches down low along the driveway and then boop! You were all over it! Very nice work~ and another subscribe on your list 😊
I am one of the people who are not allergic to poison ivy. It’s like any other allergy. Some people have a reaction, and some don’t. Excellent transformation Tucker. I don’t blame you for not wanting to do the back yard. That woman probably didn’t bury those animals very deep. Your arms certainly got a workout on this yard. As always, love your videos.
I am not allergic, either. However, I have read that one can become allergic over time with repeated exposure so I’m not going to chance it. My mom has never had it-she is a serious gardener and 79 years old.
I don’t know what you do for a ‘regular’ job but I’ll bet you don’t have trouble sleeping after all this yard clean up you do! You do an amazing job and I know it is greatly appreciated by the community and homeowners. Thank you for your RAK’s! You rock!
Long sleeve shirt (get moisture wicking ones), a gaiter around your neck, & gloves ALWAYS. Helps with the bites & certainly helps with poison ivy & other skin irritating plants. You can even get the UV protection shirts!
That was a lot of hard work. Especially pulling all those weeds out by the roots. That’s the correct way to do it. I’m happy to know that Tim the Lawnmower man is your friend. I love watching his channel also.

Very Good Work. Lots 100% better actually better than some of the neighbors
Love watching you do this for the community and neighbors
Wow. Tons of work pulling weeds. Hats off for effort

Thanks so much Dorian!
Made is easier for him to see all the trash too, so that awesome mower of his didn't have to get hurt. I am a John Deere girl myself.
Oh man! You are next level my man! You even clean up the clippings! You’re the first one of these guys I’ve watched on TH-cam to do that.

Only video pulling weeds. Loved watching you do it right.
I wish you would wear gloves and face mask for protection. Unlike the other channels, I love that you bag the debris instead of blowing it back into the grass. GREAT JOB!!
Yes!!! I came here to say the same thing about cleaning up the debris! It’s refreshing.
Exactly, it would be a whole safer if he had gloves and face mask on. Because you never know what's in that grass.
Just getting the tall weeds out made a huge difference in the appearance of the yard before you even mowed. Great job

Love that you clean up the grass and debris, rather than blow it into the yard and mow over it 20 times. Thank you for that!
You bet! Thanks Donna
My back was hurting just watching you pull all those big weds.
If I were needing someone to do my lawn I'd hire you in a New York minute! Hard worker you are. Great job!
Really appreciate that you took out the tall weeds so as not to spread the seeds all over the neighborhood. Great job.
Bless your heart, the world needs more people helping others. The yard looks so much better. Thank You.

Thank you for mowing the grass and removing the trash. The neighbors will like this.
I hope so, Thanks Art!

Thanks for watching Carol!

It looks so much nicer in the after video.
It was amazing to watch you pull up all those tall weeds. A job well done.
Thanks ! 👍🏻🤠
I like that you pulled the weeds out. Shredding them just disperses the seeds everywhere and makes the problem worse.
Let's go TK. Great clean up. Be Blessed and stay safe 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️
Thank you Natalie!

Pulling out those weeds was a real pain but definitely worth it.
