If you have things you would like me to look for in the videos, send me an email and I'll keep an eye out for them in future games.

    Hi Rob.
I'm really glad I found your channel. I can see what bidding convention you follow. Would you please comment on this, maybe put something on your home page. Thanks for the analysis. This one was really easy to follow

      Hi David;
      Glad you like the videos.
At present, I play 2/1 Game forcing or Standard American with clients with strong or weak NT openings (I prefer weak). In the past, I have played 2/1, Standard American, Acol, various incarnations of Precision and my own system, Dragon. I only use 2/1 or Standard American for the videos.
The major conventions I recommend/play on a regular basis with various people:
      - Negative doubles, support doubles, maximal doubles, True takeout doubles (rather than point showing doubles), Cooperative doubles
      - Constructive Raises, Splinters, fit-showing jumps, Jacoby 2NT, Kokish Reject game tries, Reverse Drury
      - Inverted Minors, Criss-cross (constructive), 2-way relay checkback Stayman
      - For strong NT (4-way transfers, Texas transfers, Smolen, 1-3-4-5 convention)
      - For weak NT (2-way Stayman), Dragon 2NT, Dragon 2C
      - RKC 1430 (majors), RKC 0314 (minors) , Gerber, Blackwood, Italian Cue-bids
      - 4th suit forcing (love this convention)
      - Natural Game-tries
      - Vs weak NT: Landy, or Transfer Overcalls, cooperative doubles
      - Vs strong NT: Landy, Meckwell, Capp (all variations)
      - Lebensohl
I have definitely missed some. There are so many to choose from.
The most important thing is to use conventions that solve bidding problems. And not so many that you can't remember them all.
      Cheers,
      Rob
