Figure four? So its basically a figure four leg lock? Ric Flair is pleased.

You forgot to mention how he locked Justin's leg to avoid getting slammed, Justin tried lifting him up but then he gave up due to the lock.

I did mention that near the end of the video :) I forgot to adjust so that the camera could see it more clearly

As I have been re-watching and reflecting on my video, there are a few things I, myself, want to comment on. I said that he was going for the armbar in the final seconds of round two and I still believe that. However, now that I watch it back, I feel he WAS aiming for the triangle but very quickly changed his mind to the armbar then back to triangle to end the fight. I'm not saying he did, and I'm not saying he didn't... I sit right in the middle, Haha. COMMENT to let me know what you think!

Interesting, but he not going for the armbar the first round, your thinking he changed his mind between rounds?

@@stasisjiujitsuandyoga the story about gaethje's parents was told by DC after the fight when he spoke to khabib,....I think the armbar in the the first round he was testing him,and the second round he fouled him, he presented to go for the armbar and switched, I think it's true he didn't want to do damage, gaethje didn't deserve to get hurt in his parents presence, it was their first holiday in their life.

This is somewhat related to the video, but have you seen bryce mitchell? What are your thoughts on him? Many are comparing him to khabib( I don't think he is), but he does take from khabib's game. Clearly. He had a nice twister submission in bout once

So I watched some of his fights. Hes a very good fighter, I would say his ground game has probably inspiration from khabib but what makes it his own style is his ability to transition from one submission to the next. On that same note, hes not a full on wrestler style, but rather more "sport" jiu jitsu which is why you see certain techniques like the "knee cut pass". What I want you to observe and see is when a fighter is at such a high level like khabib, things like pressure passing(which khabib is known for)becomes identified as something that is "his" but realy it has been around for a very long time.

Well. He was going back amd forth between triangle to armbar then triangle because, you heard the interview, right? Khabib wanted went for an armbar and had to switch last second because, because he didnt want to hurt Justin in front of his parents.
    ...
To be comfortable enough to make decisions like that meant that Justin wasn't putting up much of a fight on the ground.
