I have to say I'm really happy with my decision, as the s300 is great for a beginner and has enough functions to keep you entertained for a while. After having heared both the CTX800 and the CT S-300 side by side I have to disagree about the speakers. The CTX has a much more ballanced overall tone than the Casiotones wich is more boxy. The CTX on the other hand is too scooped on some sounds for my taste. The CTX has 12cm diameter whereas the CTS has oval 13x6cm. The CTX also sounds more natural and has better/longer samples. But that beeing said: I got me a CT S300 (!) because I mainly use it as a controller, as a camp fire guitar-substitute and for some sofa practicing. The Keybed on both is awesome, but I like the matt finish on the CTS a bit more. Too bad, It has the old sound chip, but it´s fine for my kind of usage. Thank you, Jeremy for your videos. Jeremy, have you done a video for us beginners that explains things like registrations, keyboard splits, layered voices, and things like that? They're becoming very common on all but the very cheapest beginner keyboards. I've looked through your video listings and haven't found anything that looks like that. It's probably true that most beginners who are grinding their way through the first year or two of learning to play probably don't need them (after all, none of this stuff is on an acoustic piano.) Some of us though, will be curious, and usually, the more you know about your instrument, the better. If you have something, you should learn how it works and master it. If you go far enough, you'll need it. If there a video out there that has this info, please point me to it. If not, please consider making one (or more if necessary - function of the week maybe?) Thanks for your videos!
Sir I really appreciate your content and your helpful reviews sir does the CTX 700 lacking the pitch bend wheel becomes a deal breaker as compared to CTS 300 having a pitch bend wheel for a 'beginner' ? Pls reply With due respect Tejas.
Sir reccomend me a good keyboard..... I'm already practising with Casio ctk496 from last 5yrs..... So after u see my playing in my channel.... Can u plz recommend which keyboard should I buy.... This will be very kind of u....love from India
Your videos have been very helpful in deciding what to buy. I used to play piano when I was younger but haven't played much for years but the electronic keyboard concept interests me. I sold my acoustic upright piano when I downsized after retiring and I don't have space for a large piano any more. And after watching a lot of your videos I ended up ordering a Casio CT-S300. My thought process was I decide later that I want to get more serious (with the spare time I have since I've retired) then I can purchases a larger more powerful keyboard for home use and the CT-S300 will still be useful portable when travelling. And it's even light enough to put in a bag and bring onto a plane as carry on luggage! I wish we paid US prices in Australia, in USD the CT-S300 cost me $232 but relative to the cost of other keyboards it is stil an affordable unit. Thank you :)
Have fun, buddy! Just be mindful that a keyboard costs a small fraction of an acoustic and is way smaller, so do adjust your expectation on sound accordingly.
for better sound quality and more exploration to learn more for a total beginner plus keys should feel nice, which one is better casio ctx700 or casio cts300?
Im looking at both too, unfortunatly the vid was not helpful to make a choice. Did you ever pick one up? if so which one and how do you like it? any regret on your choice?
My daughter is leaving to study french horn at a music conservatory. We just received an email that she will need a portable electric piano for her music studies and piano classes which will last all year. I've watched a few of your videos. am not a musician myself. Thinking the cts300 is nice because it has that handle. The CTX700 looks like it has more which I think she would make use of- She composes, records and jams. To all you music school students, do you think that handle is the deal-breaker? Her dorm will be about 2 blocks from the conservatory. Thinking it's the ticket as it looks like an easy keyboard to haul around school- she has access to a couple recording studios with keyboards in the studio so maybe doesn't need the extra bells and whistles- Help me decide. I'm still stuck after watching. I'd ask my daughter but she is touring Italy with her orchestra and I need to order before she returns. Is there a case or handle on the CTX700?

They're becoming very common on all but the very cheapest beginner keyboards. I've looked through your video listings and haven't found anything that looks like that. It's probably true that most beginners who are grinding their way through the first year or two of learning to play probably don't need them (after all, none of this stuff is on an acoustic piano.) Some of us though, will be curious, and usually, the more you know about your instrument, the better. If you have something, you should learn how it works and master it. If you go far enough, you'll need it.
If there a video out there that has this info, please point me to it. If not, please consider making one (or more if necessary - function of the week maybe?)
Thanks for your videos!
we need this video,please
Does CTX700 have sustain function?
Sir I really appreciate your content and your helpful reviews sir does the CTX 700 lacking the pitch bend wheel becomes a deal breaker as compared to CTS 300 having a pitch bend wheel for a 'beginner' ?
Pls reply
With due respect
Tejas.
Bro, CTX 700 have dance music but he said it doesn't??
So, mid-2021, CT-S1 and CT-S400 coming out soon. AIX on board both.
Would it be better to get a CT-X700 still or just wait for the S1?
700 is still good
Sir reccomend me a good keyboard..... I'm already practising with Casio ctk496 from last 5yrs..... So after u see my playing in my channel.... Can u plz recommend which keyboard should I buy.... This will be very kind of u....love from India
In europe casio cts 300 or others are 200$ im struggling to buy one
Can any one suggest me between CASIO ct s200 & YAMAHA F51 For beginner ??
for better sound quality and more exploration to learn more for a total beginner plus keys should feel nice, which one is better casio ctx700 or casio cts300?
Im looking at both too, unfortunatly the vid was not helpful to make a choice. Did you ever pick one up? if so which one and how do you like it? any regret on your choice?
CTX700 for better sound quality and more exploration since it has the new AiX sound chip, the CT-s300 is mostly a budget price and portable keyboard
great voice bro
Thank you. 😍
Nice sir
Very helpful
I want have it
