You missed the part where he turned a round candle into a square one. The advantage being that if you have your candle on a mountain ledge the round one could roll off but the square one stays put. This is life saving stuff at its best.

You didn't save any weight packing in the wax, nor does the wax all broken up serve an additional purpose that a regular candle couldn't be used for. It'd be a whole other story if you showed how to make a candle in the woods using natural resources found in the field, but you didn't do that unless you just enjoy doing completely unnecessary work

It is a waste of wax. The candle should be much smaller w a wick that is only at most a quarter inch higher. This allows for the longest burn time, highest heat, and most light without sacrifice. Understanding the science behind how a candle works in depth would go a long way. This method is sloppy and uneducated.
Yup...I always carry canned pineapples and a pocketful of raw candle wax when I go into the woods cuz you just never know when you'll need to make a candle to survive.,😉🤣🤣🤣
