These 7.3 powerstrokes are just bombproof engines. Almost a 25 year old truck with over 300k miles, the engine still runs like it has 3k miles on it, pretty incredible.
As a little kid I always loved them 7.3 powerstrokes. Had one in my sophomore year. A 2001 f250 platinum edition with the bully dog tuner and some other upgrades that made it 500hp. It was in good condition I gave it to my youngest cousin because he wanted it and I ended up getting a 2014 f150 limited in my senior year. If I can buy another 7.3L I would just gotta put in the upgrades to make it move insanely fast. That 7.3 powerstroke is legendary. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think the reason why these engines are so reliable is because they weren't making 1,200lbft of torque like the current 6.7L, these 7.3 Powerstrokes were overbuilt and under stressed, it was built to last like a diesel engine is meant to, and it did that better than any other diesel engine.
BEAUTIFUL TRUCK….Way back when the “Big 3” STILL KNEW HOW TO MAKE TRUCKS!!! This one reminds me of the ‘99 F-250 we used to as a GOV (Government Owned Vehicle) when I was in the military stationed up in Alaska. We had 3 trucks a ‘99 F-250 Crew Cab, an ‘89 Chevrolet Cheyenne Single Cab and an ‘05 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Crew Cab W/Duramax (which was basically brand new at the time because I was stationed in Northern Alaska just outside of Fairbanks from ‘06-‘09) and I remember I would ALWAYS take the Ford over any of the other ones which usually wasn’t a problem because everyone else wanted the drive the NEW TRUCK, until after a while when guys started realizing that GM SUCKED IN THE SNOW!! Which was a combination of the Tires being stock “All Season” tires which won’t hold up during Alaska’s winters. On top of that and even more importantly the truck was just too goddamn LIGHT and you couldn’t get good traction. That Ford NEVER EVER GOT STUCK!!! Even with with the weight of a plow on the front end, she NEVER got stuck. I told me them when the put a plow on the 2500 that they needed to put bigger more aggressive tires on it or it wouldn’t work well….sure enough, unless we only got 6” or something small like that (which between being born and raised in Boston as well as being in Alaska 6” is basically a dusting haha) that Chevy just couldn’t handle plowing . Eventually they put a liftgate on it which helped give the back a little more weight which helped but even on its BEST DAY, that 2500 COULDN’T TOUCH THAT ‘99 F-250 Powerstroke!!
@@kicker_leopard8685 lots of Cummins conversion kits around. Makes a great truck. DCS is a huge name. 6.7 Powestroke conversion wouldn't be worth it though. Just buy a 2011+ Super Duty if that's what you want.
@@zacharybishop6595 Back when it was simple to update the radio. Now the newer vehicles you can't swap in for a third party device, at least not without a lot of effort and money.
These were the best trucks if only trucks are made like this now nowadays trucks are crap and they break down after two years. My dad has a 2021 Chevrolet. It’s broke down 15 times if you want a good truck the last you forever please buy a 1990 or 2005 Ford truck 350

The Lexus SC had one with a rear-view camera in 1991...many other vehicles throughout the 90s also had navigation.
