Boat anchor suspected for causing extensive damage to reef off Kewalo Basin

A vessel's anchor may be the cause of significant damage to coral reef off of Kewalo Basin in Honolulu. The Ocean Alliance Project is investigating the full extent of the destruction that has dealt a severe blow to the reef ecosystem.

Fish need coral and corals need fish so saving them is essential. Mooring points would be better than anchors dropping.
