Nice. I have just bought myself one of these yesterday and picking it up on Saturday. I can't wait mine is also two tone red with many additions, making it a limited edition. I'm so excited to get it. And yes, I live in 'Britland' lol
I own a 2002 B/A. Great bike. I'm an old Harley rider who learned to wrench his oun. I take pride in it, because I feel it is part of the package. I like to leave tips that will help you owner/ mechanics out. Here is one. I chose this bike because I like chain drive. The biggest advantage is you don't have to tear your bike apart to replace one. I'm not going to get into how to. Plenty of stuff on the web pick one and you will do alright. My tip is this. Rather then buy a new chain from the shop, find a place that sells industrial chain. They can cross reference the numbers on your chain and supply you with the same exact thing,, and for quite a few dollars less. Keep the shiney side up.
I had a 2008. Was wonderful. Only thing I would have asked to have different would have been fuel injection instead of carbs and a 6-speed to get a tad lower RPM at higher highway/interstate speeds. Loved that thing. Windscreen, bags and heated grips made it a joy and I rode it yearly down to 25 degrees F. Riding with buddies with Harleys was frustrating because they couldn't keep up on twisty roads, but this couldn't keep up with sport bikes on twisty roads. It was in between, in that joyous comfortable spot where just plain fun is. It was fast enough, turned well enough, looked great, was comfortable, could carry a passenger well, and didn't have to roar its way down the road. Pure joy.
@@Theorangeman. That's awesome! My 2008 would cut off occasionally, didn't like the cold, and had some weird fuel issues occasionally. All due to the carbs. Had it had fuel injection I'd still have it today.
Had the chance to try out one (2016) .It was one of the most comfortable rides ever! I was pleasantly surprised .Great suspension, brakes and acceleration!
@Srkcycles I am looking to buy my first motorcycle. I want a cruiser style bike but nothing loud like all the Harleys that I see and HEAR on the road. Does this bike have oe muffler? Doesn’t sound loud. Please let me know what you think.
Iv just bought a 2013 America. Took the screen off sold for 50.00.. not rode it yet as raining..can't wait to try it .. they have the Metz Tyres on from factory are they any good iv heard they not. Any advice be great
Love the color on it....Looking at a 2010 Now, Been setting couple year , 32500 miles on it. 2G , Man said it had fuel stabilizer in it , One owner. Blue/White paint. I'm really temped to take the gamble on it....Your thoughts?
@@juergenhuenerberg6272 I rarely listen to my guy feeling on lot of things, But a person should listen to that gut feeling , More times then Not, it will save you in someway & this is one time I did. And didn't buy it. And also No shop around here to work on it, If I had and Did have problems with it. Another reason I decided not to buy it...
Seems all America's with stock exhausts sound like an asthmatic sewing machine. I cut the baffles out of mine with a 1 1/8" hole saw. Sounds more like a motorcycle and a ' lol more mid - range to boot. Ride safe.
I owned two Triumph 650 bonnies vintage 60 bikes. If you didn't have enough for a Sportster the Triumph was the must have in those days. I never could keep those bikes running for very long, but when they ran they were really fun to drive. I could drive for hrs.. And they didn't rumble like a Harley but they sure sounded good. I really wouldn't mind owning another low mile model.
@@ceva4085 They are actually not that similar despite both being big parralel twins and both being Triumphs. The Thunderbird is bigger and comfier but a lot heavier. I actually feel like the Thunderbird handles slightly better in the corners despite its much greater weight. Both sound great with aftermarket exhausts but the Thunderbird sounds more like a V Twin. If you are 6ft or over you will look too big on the Speedmaster. They suit shorter men under 6ft and women. The Thunderbird also makes its power much lower down at about 2000 revs. The Speedmaster is plenty fast enough but doesn make its power until about 4000 revs. The speedmaster is more of a street bike than A cruiser. If you plan on doing longer rides and riding a lot on the highway/motorways I would recommend the Thunderbird over the Speedmaster. If you want an easier to manage bike that can still do highway speeds when you need it to then the 1200 Speedmaster is a still a good option.
But why would you spend pounds ( sorry dollars )in trying to get a cruiser to do speeds they were never meant to and if you want a bike with a top speed of ? then why not buy a Vulcan Vn 2000 or a triumph rocket to start with ,but the America was designed to cruise at a decent speed without blasting your eardrums apart with a solid weight but one that won’t give you a hernia and travel along all day without you needing a crane to get of In fact wasn’t that the original idea of a cruiser just to amble along without a trip to casualty and just enjoy biking
Yeah, I know; 7 year old video and Sean moved to TN. Still, "So clean" "Perfect shape", and those pipes at the head are about as blue as I've ever seen after only 700 miles (!). Whoever bought this bike and only put 700 on it was not doing the kind of riding needed to get that kind of heat. Those carbs (or ECM if FI) were either not set properly from the showroom, someone was messing around, or those pipes aren't original. Wow.
One day, I want to ride one of those. I'm wondering though; with a 2300 cc engine, is the mpg's so low that you might as well be driving a car. I know that you would ride a Triumph III for fuel economy--you ride it for the GRUNT!
Been riding my ‘06 for 4 years now and it’s solid, no complaints and still enjoying it just as much as when I first got it.
ergonomics, engineering, torque, balance, reliability, price...hard to beat this bike

Hey fun fact, they are fuel injected. The carbs are faux carbs

I’ve got an 07. Carberated. Love it
This Brit bike would kick the ass of a HD 883...😎
Best regards from Britland...😡
Gotta love those classic parallel twins!
I ride a triumph America, great bike would not swop it
I own a 2012. I bought it in 2016 with 7,000 KM. One of the best investments I have ever made, with no regrets at all.
Wonderful bike, Wonderful color.
I had it Phantom Black but Red ist gorgeous!
pretty sure you were riding this one on choke, or it idles way to high.. i own a 11 T america

Where are your Gloves?
I love mine!! My husband has a Bonneville.
Still have my 2016 Last year made. Never getting rid of it.

How's the ground clearance with those footboards ?
Hi, what helmet cam do you use ? The sound and vision are excellent.
+Glat64 my helmet is junk, the sound and picture of from my set up go pro hero 4 black with a external mic mounted in my helmet
But the camera is mounted to your crash helmet ?

Hey, how did the purchase work out for you if you actually bought the bike ?

How many miles would you be comfortable putting on this? I'm looking at buying one with 15k on it
I have a 2009 since new and the bike is reliable. 15K miles is nothing.

I find I get really bad wind turbulence over 50mph on my America. Did you notice that?
Yes I notice the wind after 60 also plus I got home from the coast and put the key in wouldn't light up start up nothing do you know why
Wow.... Deadpool giving a motorcycle review. He does everything!
Is 2013 Triumph America with just 1700 miles at $4.4k a good deal?
yes, that is fair to low end.
Parallel twin! :)
I swapped mine for a 1200 Speedmaster. It's my main commuting and around town bike. I also have a 1700 Thunderbird for bigger rides and touring.
Could you make a small comparison between triumph america and its bigger brother thunderbird, please?
@@ceva4085 They are actually not that similar despite both being big parralel twins and both being Triumphs. The Thunderbird is bigger and comfier but a lot heavier. “Britland”
Bout spit my coffee out.
throw a set of british customs cocktail shakers exhaust on and it sounds great.
+John Braman lol
what's so funny? watch the videos on here with those exhaust, big improvement.

Take it off fast idle! lol

While I love my Triumph, I doubt I would by another, here in Wisconsin you can't even find matching tires for one.
"It's not really the kind of bike that you rev up when you're under a bridge..."
Try it again with some cocktail shakers. ;)
+Orion Slaver every bike is the kind of bike you rev up under a bridge or in a tunnel
I have that bike. Was going to change the exhaust (owning 3 Harley’s). But the sewing machine sound is growing on me.
Wind it tight, dude. That bike is sooooo much faster than that.
Fine motorcycle indeed!
Have you tested a Rocket III yet mate? Just sayin'........ :-)

Britland? It's Englandshire.
Hinckleyville
Made in England….Great Britain ….
United Kingdom
We definitely drink tea, crumpets not so much
I'm a Britlander and eat many, many hot buttered crumpets.
I do, given the availability of crumpets..........
You need some new jean bro
shame it did have the factory TORs exhausts..... would take the sound to the next level
Oddly enough we have the America over here in the UK. I guess that the blacked out looks of the Speedmaster aren't to everybody's taste.
It's a parallel twin not a inline twin
I have an 03. Never again will I own one tho the engine blew up after 8000 miles.
"Britland" 😂 and its tea and biscuits (cookies) not crumpets dude 😂
Parallel twin ,
👍🏻☮❤
Love it
865 cc?? Wow what a random number.
Blueseas4Joe 883 is too
