Fantastic! The things you do with trees is absolutely mesmerizing. (Trees being my favorite subject.) Thanks for sharing. I going to try this technique soon.
Do i have the right salt? Hmm, good question, i only have white 'table' salt, Himalayan salt is on my list for shopping tomorrow, but SO inspired, i want to try this NOW! Thanks.
@@nasimart-dg4unthanks for a reply, yes i experimented very small, not bad, but i'm off to Lidl tomorrow in France to get some Himalayan pink salt, even if our salt from the Carmargue here is very famous! Jo in France 🇫🇷
Any kind of salt will do. But you can get the wide variety of texture and size of the “ice crystals” here from your own salt by using a salt grinder. Set it to larger grind and turn the mill slowly over your paper and you’ll have every possible size and shape fall to your painting. It’s much easier using one grinder than six types of salt lol.
Beautiful. Would love to see these trees in spring, summer and autumn too. 😊
I hope so too!💙
Such a sense of peace while watching this. It is magical winter scene.
I’m glad you like it 😊💙
So beautiful! And it looks so relaxing to do...the challange for me is always to get that salt on at the right time!
Thank you. The best time is when the paint is completely wet
I often use salt but had never thought of grinding it straight from the pink Himalayan salt grinder which I DO have. Brilliant idea.
Yes, it has an interesting result.🤗

Yes you do ، White salt is finer and creates a finer texture. It also looks beautiful.💙

Thank you! 😊Something like a razor, or a cutter tool
What is the "cutter" tool you used. Is any blunt tool that tears the paper a bit? Love your art!!
Ordinary cutter. With anything sharp like a razor . Thank you ❤️
